GoodBoy Dog Recovery was contacted about him and responded immediately - bringing him to safety from the cold using their thermal drone! Yuki is a 1 year old Shiba Inu who is ready for his forever home! He's decompressing still and has yet to come out of his shell fully, but with some patience and trust, he's destined to be an amazing companion! ✨Meet Kirby!✨ Kirby is a 5-year-old Shiba Inu mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Kirby had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a mill mama her entire life. She is shut down at this time but is slowly starting to give us her trust. We are confident she will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands her past and gives her the time she needs to trust them and her new surroundings. Kirby loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. Her ideal family will have a backyard for experience and experience with huskies or similar breeds. Astrid is a real character and takes mealtimes very seriously. She has no problem “speaking to the manager” if service is slow in her foster home. She is a true sweetheart and has loads of potential… all she needs is a chance. Milo’s a 8yo 21lb Shiba Inu mix. He loves kids and ok with other dogs but seems to prefer them not around. He’s housebroken when kept on a schedule and crate trained. He’s good with a secure fenced in yard and going for harness leashed walks. He loves toys, people especially to cuddle with. He’s loving, loyal, happy and chill. He loves to run and play fetch in his fosters secure fenced in yard. Milo’s foster requires a home with a secure fenced in yard, active people along with giving leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Milo as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Milo’s neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped.
