Story
Kay is a 10.5-year-old spayed female Shiba Inu/Retriever mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit that defies her age. This beautiful girl is part of a bonded pair and must be adopted with her equally lovable brother, Little Man—they’ve spent their whole lives together and are ready to enjoy their golden years in a home filled with love.Kay is still getting the hang of leash walking, but she’s improving every day and enjoys the adventure once she’s out and about. She has a fun and gentle personality, loves to lay in the sun, and is always up for a good Milk Bone or a spoonful of peanut butter (her absolute favorite!). Despite missing a few front teeth, Kay has no problem enjoying her meals and treats. She adores being around people and is incredibly sweet and affectionate. Kay seems to do well with other dogs, though a meet and greet is required to make sure it’s the right fit.If you’re looking for a calm, loving, and bonded duo to bring joy and warmth into your life, Kay and Little Man are ready to become your new best friends!

Story
Wendy is looking for a loving foster home to help her recover while she is receiving medical treatment. Foster Reason: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) Foster Time Frame: 2 Weeks (The foster time frame could be longer depending on future medical results and needs.) Foster Care Plan: Wendy is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. Since she may be contagious to other pets, we strongly recommend keeping her in a separate, dedicated space such as a spare bathroom or bedroom until she has fully recovered. She will go to her foster home with medication, and once her treatment is complete, she’ll be ready for surgery/adoption. Foster to Adopt: Wendy is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/ or email us at foster@operationkindness.org to learn more.

Story
Kramer is a distinguished senior gentleman, 13 years young. We think he may be a mix of Shiba Inu and Chihuahua, but that's just our best guess. He was living a perfectly happy and content life until his people became too ill to care for him. Humane Tomorrow promised to find him another forever home. He has settled into the routine at his foster home very well. Kramer loves his meal time, treats, nap time, car rides, snuggling, and evening walks. He is house and crate trained. He gets along with the cats in his foster home, but he mostly stays out of their way. Kramer would be an excellent only dog, but he may do fine with an older, laid back dog. He likes to snuggle on his own terms, but he not like to be picked up or held. Kramer qualifies for our senior discount fee, so please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.
