Story
*COURTESY LISTING- NOT AN EPIC DOG* Loki is a sweet 8 year old Shiba Inu mix. He has all of his shots and is a very mellow, quiet dog. He weighs 18 lbs. He loves attention from anyone that will give him some and he also loves to snuggle under a blanket. He would do well with older people or single people that could take him for a walk every day or just chill with him. He very rarely barks and he is not really fond of chasing toys like a playful puppy would do. He's just kind of a mellow dude! He is also very fond of treats. The thing he does not like very much is loud noises. Adoption Fee: $120 If you are interested in adopting Loki please reach out to Carolyn at txcgrl40@yahoo.com or 972-571-6541April 15, 2024, 8:21 pm

Story
Loki is a Sheba/ Chi breed. He is 15 lbs and about 6 years old.. Very friendly and quiet. He does not bark very at all. He really doesn’t even like to play with dog toys. He does love a good soft blanket and loves to snuggle with someone! He would do well with anyone that could give him attention and take him on walks. He is neutered and up to date on all his shots. He is super loving and ok with other dogs too.   Loki is housebroken.   He was originally pee pad trained, but he is also house broken.   Yes, he is crate trained.  I currently have a crate for him in my home and I use it. Yes, he is an excellent car rider!   He will lay down on the seat and not move until the car stops.  He not one of those dogs that likes to wander around the car.  He's very still when he rides. Does he do well with kids?  I really cannot answer this question.  My son is 17 years old and I don't have any smaller children. I believe he would be fine.  I will say this...he does feel threatened by larger dogs and prefers to either be the only dog in the house or have other dogs around him that are the same size.  I did have another dog around him he absolutely loved.  Boyfriend/Girlfiend kind of thing, same size. I can tell you a little bit about his 'past life' from what I've been told.  He was in a home where he belong to a younger adult (late teens/early 20's).  This younger adult was not very kind to Loki and neglected him at times.  What that "neglect" entailed, I do not know.  Loki IS scared of men until he gets to know you.  Then he's ok.  He also does not like loud noises at all. I have had him a little under a year now.  He is pretty loyal and will sit right by your side. He loves attention and will sit in your lap and snuggle with you.  He is a very expressionless dog.  He doesn't really wag his tail much or smile, but he will snuggle up a storm with you.  I always say, he's always got just a blank look on his face.  Sometimes I laugh because he looks like he's gonna cry.  He'll give you the sad puppy eyes. .  Loki had a bath and nail grind last week on Tuesday at Petsmart.  I take him on a regular basis.  His hair does not really get long enough to cut.  He's got that kind of fur that stay pretty short.   Ohh and Loki is 8 years old. ##1975046##

Story
It is so hard to believe Jinsook has not been swooped up for adoption! She is now one of our Diamond Dogs, which are the pets we highlight as the Diamond in the Ruff seeking their forever home. Her adoption fee has been reduced to $125. Jinsook (aka Jinny) is a 43 lbs. and 13 years old. She was surrendered to a shelter by her owner. She's now living the good life in foster care while she waits for her new family. Jinny is living with 3 big dogs (male and female) and gets along well with all of them.  Don't let her age fool you; Jinny has some pep in her step and is still quite playful! She enjoys her morning walks, with or without other doggies, and is good on the leash. Jinny is a sweet, affectionate lady who enjoys being petted. She is house and crate trained and has free run of the house when her foster mom is away from home. She does not get on the furniture (although she is allowed to do so and is capable of jumping on the couch).  Jinny would do best in a home without small children or cats. She is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and on heartworm prevention. You can apply to meet/adopt her here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Hey there, I`m Mermaid Man, your friendly neighborhood superhero dog. My tale isn`t one of sorrow but of bravery. I once lived a peaceful life, but destiny had other plans. One day, an evil villain named Dr. Litterbug started polluting our town. I couldn`t stand by, so I used my powers of persuasion and love to rally my fellow canines. We chased him out of town, but in the process, I lost my way home and ended up here. I`m leash trained, potty trained, and neutered. I`m just as sweet and friendly as they come. My superpower is love, and I`m ready to shower it on a family who`ll adopt me. Will you be my superhero?

Story
Maple is a sweet 5 year old shiba inu/ heeler mix. While at times she can have bursts of energy, mostly while going on walks or playing fetch, she mostly spends her days happily napping in her dog bed. She would be a perfect fit for young couples with kids or seniors looking for a companion as she's very docile and submissive and generally keeps to herself. Life sometimes calls for unfortunate decisions and while I've done the best I can to provide a good home for her I've unfortunately reached a roadblock in me being able to provide for her much longer. I originally adopted Maple from the Burleson animal shelter back in 2020 and I would really love to not see her go back in that kind of environment. She really is a great dog and deserves the best life in a forever home that can give her everything that she needs and more.
