Story
Bella is such a sweetheart! Calm and reserved nature when she gets to know you. Feed her and rub her belly and she’ll love you. She is a family dog from my early adult years and my family has relocated. I took her on my own but as life sways I must relocate to a place where she cannot join me. I am hoping to find a home for Bella that is welcoming to an older dog as she is currently 9 years old. Still very lively and loves to play I am sure she still has plenty of life left in her. Beatrice is a sweet, friendly dog who was found wandering alone along a highway. Because she was a stray, everything about her is a mystery. We don't know what breed mix she is, how she's like with other animals, if she's trained, or when she was born. We can only estimate, which we think about 3-4 years old and Shih Tzu mix. Despite arriving at the shelter dirty and matted, her cheerful, loving personality never faltered. She weighs 11 lbs under all that matted fur (we took care of that, so now that it's short, it can grow back beautifully!) Shes an affectionate little girl who enjoys human companionship and greets everyone with a wagging tail. Beatrices gentle nature and positive spirit make her an absolute joy to be around. Beatrice will be ready for her forever home after her stray hold is up on 2/11 and she is spayed on 2/18. We are accepting applications for her now in case no one comes forward for her. Her $350 adoption fee helps cover her spay surgery, vaccinations, and microchipping; everything she needs to start her next chapter healthy and happy. Life hasn't always been easy for Finch. Found wandering as a stray, this 43 lb Standard Poodle has had a rough go of it. He arrived here completely matted and with a double ear infection. We acted quickly to remove all the painful matting and take care of his ears, so now he's looking a little bald but he's feeling much better. He is ready to leave his past behind and find a soft place to land. At 2-3 years old Finch is the perfect age. He is past the chaotic puppy teething stage but still has plenty of youthful energy. While his coat is short now, we hope to find a home for him where his new owners will be diligent to keep him groomed so he can remain pain-free and handsome. We have vaccinated, microchipped him, and neutered him.
