***ROCCO'S ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN SPONSORED BY OUR FRIENDS OVER AT GAGNON'S PET GROOMING***This two year old, 16lb shih tzu is looking for his forever home with an experienced adopter who doesn't mind gremlin tendencies and has the time and patience to invest into him. He will be a project...but he'll make it worth your while.We are looking for an adult only home as Rocco has done his time with children and has decided that is NOT the life for him. He experienced his free trial and would like to cancel his subscription, thanks. The cost is too high and the experience is lacking. 0/10 stars.Once Rocco likes you, he absolutely adores you and you can play with him, snuggle him, pet him, whatever, with little issue. Again, it will take TIME and PATIENCE to get to that point. He is not going to be your best friend immediately. There is a HIGH chance that he WILL snap/nip if you don't read his body language or respect his boundaries. He's been taught through experience that this is the only way to ensure that his boundaries are respected - he is going to need time to unlearn that behavior.Rocco likes walks (on the beach or otherwise) and does well with other dogs as well as with cats. Once he's comfortable with you, he's a bossy, sassy little dude with an independent streak a mile wide. He likes things the way he likes them, will not share his toys/treats (he will hoard them like a tiny, fluffy dragon), and REALLY wants whatever you have...no matter what it is. He's not a typical couch potato shih tzu - he has energy and wants to use it!He will need to be pre-medded for grooming/vet appointments.
