Story
Coco is a sweet, gentle 12-year-old senior boy with a heart full of love and a mellow soul. This quiet little guy is looking for a calm, caring home where he can be someone’s constant companion. Coco is a dream housemate. He has excellent manners, is house-trained, and simply enjoys being near his person. Whether he’s lounging in the sun, napping beside you, or keeping you company on a quiet afternoon, Coco brings a steady, peaceful presence to your home. He especially loves relaxing outdoors and rolling in the grass, making him a perfect match for someone who enjoys a laid-back lifestyle. Both of his pet sitters absolutely loved their time with him, describing him as sweet, friendly, and a pleasure to care for. He travels well, perks up when it’s time to go for a car ride, and gets along great with kids and other dogs. Coco does have some separation anxiety, which he manages well with a daily medication given at breakfast. When you’re home, he’s calm, happy, and content just being by your side. Medical Notes: · Blind in his left eye; receives daily eye drops to manage glaucoma and support tear production · Prone to yeast infections in his ears, which are manageable with regular care · Takes daily medication to help with separation anxiety · Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations Coco’s ideal home would be a peaceful one—possibly with an older adult or someone who’s home often—where he can enjoy love, stability, and the companionship he craves. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet senior into your heart and home, Coco might be your perfect match. Contact Linda (linda@3rrescue.org) to learn more about adopting this lovable little guy. The adoption application and process can be found at https://www.3rrescue.org/adopt/adoption-process. html. Coco is in foster in Palm Springs, CA. However, transport can be arranged.

Story
Sweet Pea is a 13 year old Shih Tzu. My 95 year old friend is no longer able to care for her. She has been a wonderful companion and a comfort for him living alone all these years. She still acts like a poppy some times. Great alarm dog for door bell visitors. Most of the time she is quiet and gentle. She is healthy had all her shots and has been loving care for. We hope to find her a loving home to a caring family .

Story
**Betsy is a mixed-breed dog. While she doesn't shed, we cannot guarantee that she is allergy-friendly.**   Betsy is simply irresistible! Betsy is a dignified older gal who is at least 9 years old (but may be a little older). She is the epitome of a darling little old lady and is looking for a quiet home to spend her golden years. Betsy is a total lap dog, but she enjoys her leisurely strolls and would be a perfect companion for a senior person or couple. Betsy currently weighs about 10lbs but is slightly underweight and would benefit from gaining a little. Betsy came to us from a local shelter after she was found at a rural fruit stand. She was skin and bones, covered in mats and foxtails, and in desperate need of some TLC. Even in the rough state she was found, she was such a sweet and trusting girl who just wanted to be loved. We knew the shelter was no place for a girl like her, and we were so grateful a foster family stepped up so that we could save her. Betsy has been thriving in foster care and is ready to find her fur-ever home. Betsy is the sweetest girl around, and her love language is definitely treats. Her go-to trick is to spin in a circle, and she knows how to work a crowd to get everyone to give her some snacks. When she isn't wooing fans, Betsy can be found cozy in her bed in a sunny spot. She is the queen of cuddles and is the perfect little buddy for binge-watching shows or enjoying a good book.  Betsy has done well meeting other mellow pups and could be a good companion for another easy-going dog, but she also has been loving being the spoiled only pup in her foster home. We haven't seen her around cats, but are pretty sure she would do fine living with dog-savvy cats after a slow introduction. Due to her age and fragile size, Betsy would do best in an adult-only home or with older kids who can be gentle with her. Betsy is house and crate trained. She has also done well being left for short periods in a contained area of the home. Betsy has been doing well living in an apartment with potty breaks throughout the day. Due to her fur type, Betsy requires routine grooming to prevent matting and to maintain her coat. Her new family will need to be prepared to pay for professional grooming or be willing to do it at home. She has done great going to the groomers while in our care. Betsy has some age-related health conditions, such as dental disease, lameness in her back legs, a mild heart murmur, limited vision, and she had multiple mammary masses removed when she was spayed. At this time, she doesn't require any treatment for any of her conditions, other than needing a dental cleaning and probably some extractions. We understand this is a lot, but we know a special family will be willing to take on her care.  Betsy is truly a tale of how forgiving and wonderful dogs can be, and we can't wait for her to get the forever family that she deserves. If you think that may be you, submit an adoption application today!   Betsy's adoption fee is $250.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org.
