Story
Coco is a sweet, gentle 12-year-old senior boy with a heart full of love and a mellow soul. This quiet little guy is looking for a calm, caring home where he can be someone’s constant companion. Coco is a dream housemate. He has excellent manners, is house-trained, and simply enjoys being near his person. Whether he’s lounging in the sun, napping beside you, or keeping you company on a quiet afternoon, Coco brings a steady, peaceful presence to your home. He especially loves relaxing outdoors and rolling in the grass, making him a perfect match for someone who enjoys a laid-back lifestyle. Both of his pet sitters absolutely loved their time with him, describing him as sweet, friendly, and a pleasure to care for. He travels well, perks up when it’s time to go for a car ride, and gets along great with kids and other dogs. Coco does have some separation anxiety, which he manages well with a daily medication given at breakfast. When you’re home, he’s calm, happy, and content just being by your side. Medical Notes: · Blind in his left eye; receives daily eye drops to manage glaucoma and support tear production · Prone to yeast infections in his ears, which are manageable with regular care · Takes daily medication to help with separation anxiety · Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations Coco’s ideal home would be a peaceful one—possibly with an older adult or someone who’s home often—where he can enjoy love, stability, and the companionship he craves. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet senior into your heart and home, Coco might be your perfect match. Contact Linda (linda@3rrescue.org) to learn more about adopting this lovable little guy. The adoption application and process can be found at https://www.3rrescue.org/adopt/adoption-process. html. Coco is in foster in Palm Springs, CA. However, transport can be arranged.

Story
Rozzy is a young Shih Tzu–terrier mix with a heart full of sweetness and a serious love for attention. He’s the kind of pup who gently asks for affection and happily soaks up every pet he can get. Food motivated and eager to please, Rozzy will be a fun little companion to bond with and train. During his time at the rescue, Rozzy showed just how easygoing he is. Despite people coming and going all afternoon, he didn’t bark at all—quietly observing and taking everything in stride. He was especially lovely around a group of differently abled volunteers, calmly sharing the space and enjoying the company. Rozzy can be a bit cautious at first, especially with new people, but give him a moment and a calm environment and he warms right up. Once a dad and son sat down, Rozzy happily went over to say hello on his own terms. He’s curious about toys (as long as they don’t squeak!) and overall just an affectionate, happy little guy. He’s comfortable being picked up, held, and carried, making him a great match for someone looking for a loving companion who enjoys closeness and connection. Rozzy would thrive in a gentle, patient home where he can continue building confidence and getting all the love he deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, quiet, and affectionate pup to join your life, Rozzy might just be your perfect match. 💛

Story
Meet Don & Julio! 🐾🐾 Don and Julio came to us together from the Merced shelter and are hoping to find a home, whether together or seperately. These two are easygoing, low-energy companions who enjoy a calm, relaxed lifestyle and being close to their people. They are family friendly, affectionate, and motivated by love and attention. Don and Julio do well with gentle corrections and can be left alone for up to 4–6 hours, making them a great fit for a home with a steady routine. They would do best in a cat-free home, where they can continue to settle in and enjoy the comfort of being together. If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow duo to share your life with, Don and Julio could be the perfect match. 💙

Story
Lucky is a darling boy who is guessed to be a shih tzu/lhasa apso type mix. He is about 17lbs and thought to be around 9yrs old, however acts much younger! Lucky was found in poor condition. He was malnourished and appeared to have been suffering from a flea allergy which caused inflamed skin and missing coat on half his body. In just a few weeks of proper care and good nutrition, he is already looking so much better. His coat will continue to grow, and we know that will make him even cuter! He can be scared/nervous when adjusting to a new environment, so his adoptive home will have to have a little patience. After a few days, he shows his sweet and happy personality. Lucky's ideal home would be: * Experienced dog owners * No kids (or kids over 15) * A yard (however an apartment might be ok depending on the situation) * Must be within an hour of Sacramento Here are notes from his fostermom: This sweet boy is looking for a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and appreciated. Lucky does best with *older children* who can respect his space—he’s a gentle soul who just needs understanding and patience. Lucky is a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle and stay close to his humans. He enjoys playing with toys and is learning how to interact with other dogs; he may bark to get their attention, but he’s making progress every day! He’s *crate trained*, *potty trained*, and will bark or gently paw at you when he needs to go outside. Lucky also knows how to use a doggy door. He absolutely loves going on walks and greeting new people along the way. Lucky would thrive in a home with another *low- to mid-energy dog* or as the *only pet*. With love and stability, this affectionate boy will make a wonderful companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly friend who just wants to be near you, Lucky might be your perfect match! Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
