Sweet Pea is a 13 year old Shih Tzu. My 95 year old friend is no longer able to care for her. She has been a wonderful companion and a comfort for him living alone all these years. She still acts like a poppy some times. Great alarm dog for door bell visitors. Most of the time she is quiet and gentle. She is healthy had all her shots and has been loving care for. We hope to find her a loving home to a caring family .

Coco is a sweet, gentle 12-year-old senior boy with a heart full of love and a mellow soul. This quiet little guy is looking for a calm, caring home where he can be someone’s constant companion. Coco is a dream housemate. He has excellent manners, is house-trained, and simply enjoys being near his person. Whether he’s lounging in the sun, napping beside you, or keeping you company on a quiet afternoon, Coco brings a steady, peaceful presence to your home. He especially loves relaxing outdoors and rolling in the grass, making him a perfect match for someone who enjoys a laid-back lifestyle. Both of his pet sitters absolutely loved their time with him, describing him as sweet, friendly, and a pleasure to care for. He travels well, perks up when it’s time to go for a car ride, and gets along great with kids and other dogs. Coco does have some separation anxiety, which he manages well with a daily medication given at breakfast. When you’re home, he’s calm, happy, and content just being by your side. Medical Notes: · Blind in his left eye; receives daily eye drops to manage glaucoma and support tear production · Prone to yeast infections in his ears, which are manageable with regular care · Takes daily medication to help with separation anxiety · Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations Coco’s ideal home would be a peaceful one—possibly with an older adult or someone who’s home often—where he can enjoy love, stability, and the companionship he craves. Although he may look like Chewbacca’s smaller cousin or a sentient haystack, Strength is a mutt of many flavors – we think some shih tzu, maybe some yorkie (honestly maybe a little Chewy, who knows?). Strength’s hair is so big because it has to contain all of his charisma, because this little guy is campaigning to be the Mayor of Muttville. He indiscriminately befriends all he encounters, whether they be human or canine, and it’s hard to resist tangling your hands in his gorgeous blonde locks. We suspect that, with a good groom, Strength may look like a completely different dog, but that’s all the better – you can have two dogs for the price of one! And who doesn’t need a little more Strength? Here's some notes from his foster: Strength is a very sweet boy who wants to be near you and loves getting scritches. He’s got a surprising amount of energy! He loves his walks. On some walks he’s eager and out in front for over a mile at a brisk pace, other walks he’d rather just sniff all the things. Most of the day he’s happy to snooze near you in his bed. He’s good with people and dogs. He gets along great with our young kitty. He does ok being left alone - he’ll bark for a few minutes, but then he settles down. Rides fine in car.

Kicking us off for haircare week is a black and white shih tzu mix who looks like he could use a bit of haircare himself - Sideburn! This lovely lad has the most adorable bowlegged stance as he toddles around Muttville looking for other doggos or humans to introduce himself to. Sideburn is the epitome of a senior sweetheart with just the gentlest manners and a most pleasant expression on his furry little face. Sideburn is looking for the perfect furever home filled with treats, cuddles, and lots of love, and he's absolutely optimistic that Muttville is the place to find it. If you have a Sideburn-shaped hole in your heart, won't you come meet him today? Here's some notes from his foster: Sideburn is an awesome dog. He is house trained, quiet, well mannered, and a total gentleman. He gets along with dogs of all sizes and occasionally plays with smaller dogs if he vibes with them. He loves food! And he might even cutely grumble a little at the dinner table in hopes you share a bite with him. He has great manners when being groomed and bathed. He doesn’t mind the blow dryer nor having his paw pads shaved. He is perfectly polite when you wipe his paws after a muddy walk. He isn’t a fan of the rain. He will need help getting up the stairs. Also, he enjoys being on the couch and the bed, but needs his humans to help him get up there. He can get down the stairs but would prefer you help him. He enjoys slow peaceful walks through the park and has had no problem walking several blocks as long as you’re ok with his slower gentlemanly pace. Sideburn would do best in a house where his owners aren’t wanting to take him on long active hikes. He prefers chilling at home and cuddling. And being a gentleman.

Trotting around the corner in his pumpkin-print turtleneck sweater, Mullet looks like a little spiffed-up grandpa heading for Thanksgiving dinner. He also looks like a fresh-faced whippersnapper ready for the kid’s table. Even with some vision and hearing impairment, this ecru Shih Tzu comes with a youthful vibe. Fostered before his arrival at Muttville, this mellow boy revealed himself to be an affectionate snuggler who likes dogs, kind humans, and a nice patch of fresh grass for a vigorous sniff and roll. He’s an anything-goes lap dweller. Chatting, cuddling, Warriors basketball -- he feels there’s very little that can’t be enjoyed from a place of comfort. Go on! Celebrate life at a reasonable pace with this handsome love crumpet. Here's some notes from her foster: Mullet was only with me for a few days, but in that time I could see what a gentle, loveable guy he is. He is vision impaired and he can hear if you are close to him. He was busy mapping out my home and quickly find the things that are most important-his food, his bed and the giver of cuddles. He has a robust appetite. He is happy to be carried most of the time when out and about. I don't think he will need or want much exercise. I think he would love to be someone's lap dog- cuddle buddy. I know he will bring joy to the lucky adopter who chooses him.
