Story
Meet Ozzy 🐾 Ozzy is a thoughtful, selective pup who is looking for a patient and experienced home where he can thrive. He has a medium energy level and enjoys a balance of playtime, walks, and quiet companionship. Ozzy is dog selective and does best with slow, careful introductions to other dogs. He’s not good with cats, so a cat-free home is necessary. On leash, Ozzy can be reactive and pull, and he can get jumpy at times, but he is good with corrections and responds well to consistent, positive training. With the right guidance, patience, and structure, Ozzy will grow into a loyal, well-mannered companion for someone ready to give him the understanding and stability he needs. 🐶

Story
Meet Gustavo - a sweet, loving little boy! He is good with all people, kids, cats, and most other dogs. Gustavo really loves being around his people, so his forever home should include someone who likes to stay home or is able to take him out on adventures and errands with them. His favorite activities are chewing bones, sitting on laps, and finding small spaces to sit in. He's always looking for new comfy spots, and will get up and plop himself down several times throughout the day. Gustavo also religiously follows his people around the home, wanting to be close. With time and confidence, we expect that he will likely settle into his home and become more comfortable being further apart from his people. A resident dog may also help with this. He also loves giving face, hand, and toe kisses, and is still learning that people don't like to play with his teeth (it's getting better every day!). He means no hard but because of this, we'd suggest older kids would be a better fit for him. If he goes to a home with another dog, the other dog will need to be tolerant of some light puppy energy for a little bit with Gustavo. Gustavo is working on his leash manners, he currently zig zags a little but is starting to pick up how to walk nicely! He's potty trained (though sometimes will excited pee when he sees his people or gets hyped up) and can be left for a couple of hours at of time in a pen or crate. He likes his walks, but doesn't need much more than 30 mins at a time, though he gets bursts of zoomies at home and whizzes round to get his energy out. In between, he'll happily chill or entertain himself with chew or squeaky toys. Apply today to meet this adorable boy. He's a perfect little house or apartment dog, so easy to fall in love with!

Meet Peanut 🥜🐾 Peanut is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can feel safe and supported. He prefers a quieter lifestyle with predictable routines and patient people. Peanut can be shy and needs mindful, gentle approaches, especially while he’s getting to know new people. He will need continued socialization with both people and dogs, and does best with slow, controlled dog introductions. Peanut is dog selective, barrier reactive, and leash reactive, so he’s seeking a single-dog home with an adopter who is experienced or willing to work with positive, confidence-building training. Because of his sensitivities, a home with dog-savvy children ages 10 and up would be the best fit. Peanut is not good with cats, so a cat-free home is required. With patience, structure, and plenty of reassurance, Peanut has the potential to blossom into a loyal, deeply bonded companion for the right person who understands his needs and is ready to go at his pace. 🤍

Meet Don & Julio! 🐾🐾 Don and Julio came to us together from the Merced shelter and are hoping to find a home, whether together or seperately. These two are easygoing, low-energy companions who enjoy a calm, relaxed lifestyle and being close to their people. They are family friendly, affectionate, and motivated by love and attention. Don and Julio do well with gentle corrections and can be left alone for up to 4–6 hours, making them a great fit for a home with a steady routine. They would do best in a cat-free home, where they can continue to settle in and enjoy the comfort of being together. If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow duo to share your life with, Don and Julio could be the perfect match. 💙

Story
Say hello to Charleston, a roaring twenties heart-throb that has us doing a jig! Just like the famous dance, this little guy is all about charm, joy, and stealing the spotlight. With his soft, shaggy coat and movie-star good looks, Charleston is a real jazz-age gentleman. He’s incredibly social, sweet as can be, and happiest when he’s being held close—no wallflower here! Charleston is ready to shimmy straight into a loving family’s arms and turn everyday life into a toe-tapping love story. Step right up and meet your new leading man! Here's some notes from his foster: Charleston is such a sweetheart! When he gets home, he loves to flop on his back and wiggle around on the carpet for attention until you pat his belly. He enjoys sleeping on the couch but would love sleeping on the bed. He’s happy to be carried around in a sling as well. When we go on walks, he is curious and likes to sniff around and greet other dogs. He can go for very long walks (45 mins or so) before slowing down. In general, he is quite energetic and will jump and stand for a treat. He is not picky at all and even loves the “healthy” treats, so he will be heading to his new home with two bags of his favorite treats. We’ve been calling him “Charlie” for short and he now responds very well to it! He just loves people and affection! If you’re sitting on the couch next to him, he will surely climb onto you for snuggles. We think he would do best in a home where he can receive a lot of love and attention, and he would do well with other dogs as well.
