💕 **DOUBLE THE LOVE… DOUBLE THE JOY!** 💕 Meet **Mimi & Minnie**, an adorable bonded pair looking for a forever home together. We believe they are a mother-and-daughter duo who have always relied on one another, and we can't imagine them being separated. These precious girls were brought to our sanctuary as strays, but we believe they were likely surrendered by their previous owner. Whatever their past may have been, their future is looking much brighter now—and we are determined to find them the loving family they deserve. Mimi is about 1 year old, weighs 9.8 pounds, and appears to be a Shih Tzu/Maltese mix. Minnie is 3 years old, weighs 14 pounds, and appears to be a Shih Tzu mix. Both girls have beautiful coats that will require regular professional grooming. They are shy when meeting new people, but they are incredibly sweet and gentle. With patience, understanding, and love, they will blossom into loyal, affectionate companions. They may need continued house training and leash training as they settle into their new home. Mimi has already been spayed, and Minnie is spayed as well. Both girls are vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to begin the next chapter of their lives. Because they are more confident with canine companionship, we will be considering homes that already have a friendly, well-socialized dog. If you have room in your heart and home for two deserving little girls, Minnie and Mimi will reward you with a lifetime of unconditional love. They have already found their best friend in each other—now they just need a family to love them both. ❤️ **Please share to help Minnie & Mimi find the forever home they've been waiting for!** Follow us. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61582104536779 to see what we are doing and to see other dogs. #adoptdontshopIf you are interested in this dog or would like more information please send me an Adoption QuestionnaireThank youAdoption Fees For Dogs Start At $ 400- 500 Medium & Large Mixed Breed Adult Dogs: $400 plus Medium & Large Pure Breed Adult Dogs or Puppies: $450.00 plus Medium & Large Mixed Breed Puppies: $400 plus Small Mixed Breeds (Puppies & Adults): $450 plus Purebred & Designer Dogs (Puppies & Adults): $500 plus (Fees subject to change) Adopt Today! **💕 LOVING BONDED PAIR – Minnie & Mimi 💕** Minnie and Mimi are truly two peas in a pod! We believe they are a beautiful mother-and-daughter pair who share a very special bond and are looking for a forever home where they can stay together. These sweet girls were brought to our door as strays, but we believe they were likely surrendered by their previous owner. The finder told us she had several male dogs and was unable to keep Minnie and Mimi. Now they are safe and loved as Animal Friends Connection dogs, and they are ready to find a family of their own. Minnie is 3 years old, weighs 14 pounds, and appears to be a Shih Tzu mix. She has a beautiful gray, black, and white coat that will require regular professional grooming. Mimi is about 1 year old, weighs 9.8 pounds, and appears to be a Shih Tzu/Maltese mix. Her soft white and apricot coat will also need regular professional grooming. Both girls are shy when meeting new people, but beneath their timid nature are two incredibly sweet, gentle souls. With patience, kindness, and lots of love, Minnie and Mimi will blossom into devoted companions. They may need help with house training and leash training as they adjust to life in their new home. Mimi has already been spayed, and Minnie is spayed as well. Both girls are vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to begin their next chapter. Because these girls gain confidence from other dogs, we will be hoping a home with a friendly, well-adjusted **existing dog** to help them continue to thrive. If you're looking for a pair of loving companions who will reward your patience with endless affection, Minnie and Mimi may be the perfect addition to your family. They have already found comfort in each other—now they just need a forever home to call their own together. ❤️ Follow us. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61582104536779 to see what we are doing and to see other dogs. #adoptdontshopIf you are interested in this dog or would like more information please send me an Adoption QuestionnaireThank youAdoption Fees For Dogs Start At $ 400- 500 Medium & Large Mixed Breed Adult Dogs: $400 plus Medium & Large Pure Breed Adult Dogs or Puppies: $450.00 plus Medium & Large Mixed Breed Puppies: $400 plus Small Mixed Breeds (Puppies & Adults): $450 plus Purebred & Designer Dogs (Puppies & Adults): $500 plus (Fees subject to change) Adopt Today! While Amy may technically be a senior, you’d never know it from her playful spirit and happy energy. She is approximately 7 years old and weighs 17 lbs. We believe she’s a Poodle mix—possibly with a bit of Schnauzer. When Amy first arrived at the shelter, her coat had to be shaved due to heavy matting, but it’s now growing back beautifully. She will need regular grooming to keep her coat looking it’s best. Amy is a true sweetheart who loves everyone she meets. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and enjoys playtime with her canine friends. She is fully house-trained, loves her daily walks, and walks very nicely on leash. Amy has already made lots of friends in the neighborhood! Her ideal home would be one where someone is around most of the time to give her the love and companionship she thrives on. If you’d like to give sweet Amy the forever home she deserves, please complete an application at 1luckydogrescue.org or reach out to Nancy at nancymoore016@gmail.com. When emailing, please tell us a little about the home you would offer Amy.

Story
Hello, my name is Pasquale (rhymes with Jolly) and I am an outdoorsy kind of guy. I love long nature hikes, anything that involves an adventure in the car, and sniffing around the “back 40.” My goal in life is to get so tired during the day that I can have a long, restful sleep at night. I have a lot of stamina, am hearty and am a hypoallergenic breed blend. My foster parents, who are hobbyist wine makers, also refer to me as a “custom blend.” Those “in the know” (aka Google image search) say that I am a Shih Tzu and Silky Terrier blend. All I know is that I am a goofball and cuddler at heart. I have been in my foster home for a few weeks now and they have small dogs that I like to run around and play with. They also have two giant (to me) German Shepherds that kinda make me shy even though they are lovable and cuddly to their humans. My ideal home would have active adult humans who enjoy spending time with me, taking me on new adventures and exercising with me. I am up-to-date with all of my shots, have had my baby makers removed and am microchipped. If you’d like to apply to adopt me, please send an email to info@KenMarRescue.org and write a little about yourself and why you think I would be a great fit in your home. Once you’ve had a chance to put your best “paw” forward in the email, please write “Request for Adoption Application for Pasquale” on the subject line. If you’ve made it this far and are still reading this, thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to learn more about me and for possibly carving out a small space in your heart and home to give me a chance at a great life. I pray to share the life you live. Make a great day. XOXO, Pasquale *** Backstory: Pasquale was brought into the shelter with other siblings when his caregiver was taken to the hospital and did not return. Neighbors fed him and his pack until the shelter had enough space to take them all in. KenMar Rescue moved forward with the call for help and rescued him. Obsession: Learning about all the good things in life like basking in the summer shade, cool hikes, and yummy treats. Favorite food: Hard boiled eggs and boiled chicken Pet peeve: Going night night. Would rather sleep at the foot of your bed or closeby. Known accomplices: The squirrels on “squirrel patrol.” Naughtiest deed: Turning his nose at broccoli in his bowl. Favorite pastime: Sunbathing at your feet. *** Pasquale additional details: The following information is the most recent update we have received from Pasquale’s foster parents. We have made this information available to help you, our adopters, learn more about Pasquale prior to inquiring about a meet & greet. Please read thoroughly before reaching out to us—this will help reduce the number of emails we receive every day and in turn, allow us to respond to the emails we do receive more quickly! Please note that a dog's behavior often varies from one environment to another, and a decompression period in a new environment can last days to months. General Personality: Pasquale is shy with new people but will usually let them pet him after sniffing. Daily Routine: 8:00am- go out for pee 8:30am- eat 9:00am- cuddles 10:00am- play! 12:00pm- snacks 2:00 nap 4:00 play 5:30- dinner 6:00pm- go out for pee 7:00pm- tv time and wind down 9:00-10:00- bed time Housebroken? Pasquale prefers grass and is given plenty of access to relieve himself outside. House Training Progress: Pasquale will let you know when he needs to go potty outside but will require some guidance on the layout of his new home’s floor plan so as to navigate how to find you and how to exit to the grass area. Behavior Around Dogs, Cats, or Kids: Pasquale is good with small, gentle dogs. Curious at first but then engages in play. He is submissive and prefers peace to confrontation. He is not the alpha of the pack by any stretch of the imagination. The foster home he is in does not have cats or kids. Energy Rating (1 = very high; 5 = very low): 3 Leash Walking Rating (1 = difficult; 5 = perfect): 2 Leash Behaviors: Social puppy that wants to please and smell everything, loves to explore. Needs patience, redirection and attention. Slowly learning the routine. Crate Rating When Left Alone: 2 - sleeps in a climate controlled area in the house at night with plenty of room to run around and multiple beds to sleep in. Has separation anxiety in a crate. Daily activities such as mental stimulation through play and new learnings as well as routine physical exercise helps reduce and relieve these symptoms: a tired dog is a sleepy puppy. Does the dog sleep through the night? Yes, especially if fatigued due to consistent, daily, extended activities such as long walks and playtime, he is part Terrier, after all. Prefers to sleep in an area where he can feel the presence of his humans in order to keep his humans safe. Other Quirks: Pasquale likes to be near you when you are working from home. That’s his favorite spot. He wants to be the best helper. What makes him/her happy? Attention, food, patience, training, mental, social and physical activities. The usual stuff that makes every being happy. What makes him/her nervous or unhappy? Sleeping alone at night or missing out on a chance to go somewhere. Other Displayed Behaviors: Both new groomer and private vet gave him high marks for first visit interactions. Pasquale is a fluffy breed blend that was given a puppy cut by the groomer so as to be cool for the summer. Pasquale’s private vet gave him a clear bill of health, aged him at between 3-5 yrs old, and said he might need a dental cleaning next year. Pasquale’s private vet also has administered his two Lepto shots and says that Pasquale is at his fully grown, ideal weight of 15 lbs. Current Walking set up: Leash, harness and collar Currently Eating: Taste of the Wild Bison kibble with one smashed hard boiled egg and small spoonful of canned pumpkin at each meal. This is augmented randomly with boiled chicken as available. Pasquale is fed twice a day with healthy snacks in between. *** KenMar Rescue is a 501c3 charitable organization. Donations go towards the care and feeding of our orphans. The adoption donation is $500 and used directly to save future orphans. Application review is followed by a phone call if approved. Home checks are done via FaceTime or Zoom prior to each adoption. *** More about KenMar Rescue… TV Appearances: Our orphans have been featured on various shows such as this one, K9 Corner, and consistently invited to "Good Day LA" Pet segments: https://youtu.be/7ZQJZ8Um-Jo *** KenMar Rescue Yelp Reviews https://yelp.to/dr4UlKdAmF *** Additional Media: Somewhat dated video about us.  KenMar Rescue has saved close to 2,000 lives since our founding in 2007 https://youtu.be/R-mnilY2Yik?si=XyQUrv3ar67EmEgg Please note: ❤️We prefer ADULTS, no small kids, (gentle, animal-friendly/respectful teens ok).   ❤️We prefer HOME OWNERS with a SECURED YARD. ❤️We will ask you about your Succession Plan.  Meaning, in the event that you are no longer able to provide for your new family member: who will get the dog, where is this stated in writing, etc. The Successor person will be asked to participate in the adoption process (zoom calls, in-person meeting, etc.) so they are part of the decision-making from the beginning and are aware of the orphan’s needs. ❤️We are located in 2.5 hrs east of San Francisco (on the way to Yosemite). Please consider transportation logistics to meet (and possibly adopt) your new family member. Also, if things do not work out, please bear in mind that you would be responsible to return the orphan back to us. ❤️Vet, petsitting, future medical expenses, etc., for the life of the pet will be your responsibility. As pet parents, please consider these commitments before applying. *** If you are interested in submitting an adoption application for Pasquale, please email: info@KenMarRescue.org and write “Request for Adoption Application for Pasquale,” in the subject line.
