Story
Meet Einstein!Einstein is an adorable 8-year-old, 12-pound Shih Tzu with a heart full of love. Found wandering as a stray, this sweet boy got a fresh grooming, a dental, and had a few lumps removed—and he’s feeling so much better! Einstein may be hard of hearing or deaf, but it doesn’t slow him down. He’s incredibly sweet, great with other dogs and all people, and has a gentle, affectionate nature. Einstein is a good eater, loves following his person around, and would be thrilled to snuggle in bed with you. He’s also doing well with house training. Einstein is ready to bring love and companionship to a lucky forever home!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Meet Bunsen! This adorable little Shih Tzu is about 9 years old and weighs just 9 pounds. He’s not a koala, he just has the biggest eyes you’ll ever see! Bunsen came to us in rough shape after being found as a stray, but after a good grooming and a month of love in his foster home, he’s ready to find his forever family.Bunsen is the definition of a cuddly companion. He lives for butt scratches, tummy rubs, and cozy snuggles. Though he’s hard of hearing and has limited vision, he gets around just fine and is full of love to give. He’s gentle with cats, great with other dogs, and does well with kind, respectful kids. He’s mostly house trained with the help of a belly band and will even let you know when he needs to go outside. With a consistent schedule and a little patience, we think he could eventually leave the belly band behind altogether.Bunsen is a bit of a picky eater, so he’ll need someone who’s willing to be understanding and flexible at mealtime. But for the right person, this little guy will be an incredibly sweet and loyal companion.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Hi! My name is Nika. I am a 12 year old female Shih Tzu. I was recently surrendered to a shelter by no fault of my own. The shelter helped to get me healthy with a dental and a mastectomy. I am having one of my eyes removed soon, but that won't slow me down! I would like to have a playmate and a fenced yard. I am deaf and it helps me having a buddy around and the fence will keep me safe. My foster Mom says I am adorable and such a sweet pup. I would have to agree with her, I am great! I am having so much fun with my foster siblings. Young kids probably aren't a good fit for me, since I am easily startled being deaf.If you are looking for another member of your family, please fill out an application for ME! I can't wait to find my furever home. All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Story
Betty and Judy are a 8 month old pair, possibly dumped by a breeder in TX. They have been through a lot and we are trying to keep them together. Betty is deaf but she doesn't let it slow her down. She is always happy. Foster mom has been working on hand signals for down and she understands. She follows Judy outside and will not come in until Judy does but does a pretty good job of going potty outside. These girls love to play together and eat together in their big crate. At night they sleep together on a dog bed. Betty will also make sure to let you know when it is time to eat. If you are interested in adopting Betty and Judy, please fill out the application on our website - www.foreverhomedogs.org. Their adoption fee for both dogs is $500All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots.
