DOB 4-30-2025 DeChen is looking for his new home and Mom! He's a beautiful Shih Tzu with a good personality, loves to play and gets along with others. DeChen is complete on all medical, up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative and has received a ProHeart6 preventative injection. This boy will come with all his registration and medical papers. His adoption fee is 900.00, his transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, they are the best and deliver to East Coast every other week. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Kiwi was born 5/30/25. She is sweet and sassy, a perfect little girl! She is friendly and social with everyone. She likes playing with her toys. She is great with older children. She needs work on housetraining. She is smart and catches on quickly. Adoption fee is 950.00. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Adoption fees are cash or money order only. Bubbles was born 5/14/25. She is outgoing and friendly. She LOVES everyone. She weighs 6 lbs. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. We are working on housetraining and leash walking. She is a very sweet and playful cuddle buddy. Adoption fee is 950.00. Located in the south. She was surrendered to rescue because she became too old to be sold in a store. This sweet girl came to us as a voluntary surrender after being hit by a car. Her family couldn’t afford the emergency care she needed, and Nutmeg arrived with her right eye out of its socket. Thanks to immediate medical attention and her own incredible spirit, she’s recovered beautifully and hasn’t let her past dim her joyful personality. Nutmeg is energetic, affectionate, and loves giving kisses. She’s friendly with dogs of all sizes and absolutely adores people. She’s a zoomie enthusiast and a fun companion for anyone looking for a lively, loving little dog. She’s crate trained, walks wonderfully on a leash, and is ready for new adventures with a family of her own. We will be cat-testing her this week to learn more about how she feels about feline friends.
