*************PLEASE READ*********************** WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY. WE ARE VOLUNTEERS. WE ARE REVIEWING ALL APPLICATIONS. WE RECEIVE MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS ON DOGS LIKE GIO. THE ADOPTION PROCESS MAY TAKE UPTO 2 WEEKS. . Gio is a 1 year old mixed breed dog weighing approximately 12 pounds. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He is learning leash manners. Gio is working on housebreaking and crate training. He is going to need a owner that will commit to the time to housebreaking him and have patience. He was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter, where our rescue organization stepped in to give him a second chance. Currently, Gio is staying at a dog training doggy daycare, where he is learning how to walk on a leash for the first time. So far, he has shown himself to be very sweet and gets along with other dogs. We have received a lot of interest and applications for Gio. Our main goal is to find the right home for him that will commit to his training. Gio is fully vetted. He is neutered, microchipped, tested for heartworm, and has received his rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations. Additionally, he is on flea preventative. At this time, we are reviewing all applications for Gio

Story
Double the Love, Double the Sweetness Meet Cisco and Henry--our newest bonded duo and the very best of friends. Each around 10 years young, they joined our rescue just one week ago after leaving the shelter behind. Cisco and Henry have settled into their foster home beautifully--they&#39re expert couch snugglers, incredibly affectionate, and happiest when they&#39re right by their people&#39s side. These two gentle souls truly thrive on companionship and love. We&#39re looking for a home where Cisco and Henry will have plenty of company, cozy spots to nap, and hearts ready to adore them as much as they adore their humans. Good news: both Cisco and Henry will be getting full dental care, fully covered by the rescue. If you believe love is better in pairs and your home has room for two sweet seniors, Cisco and Henry may be the perfect match. Please reach out to learn more about adopting this special bonded pair. She is learning how to sit and her butt can't sit for long. She loves to explore, see new things and would be a great girl to travel with. A few things we have learned and researched (thanks to our foster). Shih tzus carry a gene for wire hair. It's recessive and bred out of the breed and its unusual to have a phenotypically wire shih tzu ("Prapso" Shih Tzu, a natural short-haired variant, which is distinct from the standard long-haired coat). ** Our Puppy Adoption Policy & Senior Adopters** We absolutely adopt to seniors and value them deeply in our rescue community. In fact, we encourage adopters age 70 and older to consider adult dogs (5+ years) — they often form the most beautiful, well-matched partnerships and truly thrive together. Why not puppies?Puppies require many years of intensive care, including:Daily training and socializationSignificant physical activityOngoing veterinary careLong-term contingency planning for the next 15+ yearsBecause of these lifetime needs, we place puppies only in homes where long-term stability and planning can be confidently met.For this reason, we do not place puppies with adopters over the age of 70.This policy exists solely to protect the lifelong welfare and stability of the dog — never to diminish the value or capability of senior adopters.
