Meet Marshmallow! He’s a scared little baby who can be nervous and barky at first with new people, but a cuddly sweetheart once he feels safe and gets his bearings. He was surrendered to a local shelter just before Christmas without much details. He loves other dogs and seems more confident with a doggie companion to follow and learn from. We think he’s a Shih Tzu/poodle mix, about 1-2 years old, and a sweet cuddly guy once he bonds to his people. Marshmallow has been neutered, updated on shots, and is ready to start the new year in a loving stable permanent home! This sweet gentle 13 year old senior has suffered with chronic skin allergies and ear infections for a while and was a painful itchy mess, matted with nails curled and growing into his paw pads:( He's feeling much better now after grooming, medicated baths, ear treatments and medication and will need someone committed to keeping up on his medication protocols longterm to keep his allergies under control and keep him comfortable. Quinley, a gentle, sweet boy, is part of our owner surrender program and will be neutered on December 22, then placed in foster care in NJ December 26. He was initially fearful and has been known to be an experienced escape artist who cannot be left outside unattended. Despite this, Quinley is already making progress—after trembling his first night with our rescue partner in South Jersey, he was cuddling and sleeping on the couch by the second. Raised around other dogs, he enjoys their company as he continues to adjust. Quinley will need a secure environment and a patient, home that understands fearful dogs and prioritizes safety while he decompresses. With time, consistency, and calm handling, his true personality will emerge. If you are interested in Quinley or have questions, please reach out. His temperament and behavior will continue to be updated as his NJ foster gets to know him better. Quinley is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm.
