Kai is a very happy dog. We got Kai at 12 weeks old from the Dominican Republic. He was born on August 15, 2020 & has been our fur baby since Dec. 2020. Kai came into our lives during the pandemic, and became a pandemic puppy. He’s a very good dog overall, until he’s left home alone for too many hours. Kai has severe separation anxiety and requires company 90% of the day. He’s not needy, but he does not like to be home alone. He could sleep all day & have a random burst of energy that lasts about 1 hour each day (he will initiate play time when this happens). Kai is very friendly, loving & cuddly. We are looking for a home where Kai will have company majority of the day, he’s low maintenance, but loves your presence even if you are not directly interacting with him, so if you WFH, are a stay at home person, or retired then this might be a good fit for you.

Hi! My name is Kevin and I am looking for a forever home. My previous owners decided they didn't want me anymore and took me to a really scary place called a shelter. I was in pretty rough shape and as an owner surrender was put at the top of something bad called "the list". Fortunately for me, a small local rescue came and got me just in the nick of time, tried to give me a haircut as best they could and then asked BCAA if they might be able to help me and they said yes ... yeah! BCAA is getting me all fixed up with a neuter and dental and I'm now getting lots of good food and treats. I appear to be a shihtzu-poodle mix as my hair is really soft and my foster mom says I'm going to be soooo handsome once it all comes back in and I get groomed properly. While I'm a little older at around 8 years old, I don't act my age at all and love going for walks and exploring, but I'm also up for loving and cuddling. I'm just around 14lbs so I will fit pretty much anywhere. I have gotten along with all of the other small dogs I have met and even share a kennel with my friend Khloe, a yorkie mix about my size and age, with no problems. I haven't bothered any of those things called cats. I have done really well in my kennel with no accidents, barking or tearing up of bedding although I would prefer to be out with you. I'm good on leash and riding tethered in a car. With the closing of NY pet stores, this mill has not secured a new chain of stores to sell to. We were called to take this group in Tang is a 10 week old female Shihtzu / Bichon mix. They usually called this mix a Teddy Bear. Tang is a tri colored girl with a dark colored face. This breed mix is fully hypoallergenic. We estimate her full growth weight to be 10 - 12 pounds. She is very petite. Tang is very confident, playful and social. She is having a blast with the other pups in foster.
