Joseph is currently in a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Joseph is a possible Shih Tzu mix and around 1 to 1.5 years old (December 28) -Came into the rescue on December 26th. His family took great care of him, but there was too much going on in the household with family and the dogs were not getting enough attention. -Weighs -Acts like a puppy -Housebroken -Likes other dogs, came from a household with multiple dogs -Submissive to other dogs -Used to being indoors -Slept in bed with previous owner Video of Joseph from December 27: https://youtube.com/shorts/nCPk04ouLNA Joseph is neutered, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), has been dewormed and a fecal test, and on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $1,200, this is including all vetting above and transport cost. Gracie spent 5 years in a puppymill before coming to us. She wants so badly to trust, her little tail will wag, but she is terrified because she was not treated very kindly in the mill. She keeps her pen clean and I carry her outside to do her business and carry her back in. We tried giving her the run of the house but she spent all her time hiding under the couch. We moved her into a pen where we can bend down and pet her and she can get used to human touch means love, not hurt. Gracie is so sweet with the softest fur and cute pushed in nose. We love this girl and want the best for her. A loving, quiet, patient home where she can learn the joys of being loved. Submit application to meet dog if interested - yes an application is required******** Meet Gigi Bardot! This sweet lady is a 5.5 year old Papillon mix who weighs in around 20 pounds. She came to us from a puppy mill where she was used to have puppies until they didn't want her any longer. Due to her past, she is very fearful of new people and will require a patient adopter who is willing to help her continue to grow and give her the wonderful life she deserves. She does love other dogs, so she will do best in a home where there is another dog around her size and age. This will help her become more confident and have a safe space. She has been with her current foster mom for quite some time, and has not been around children or men. Gigi knows to go potty outside, but she does have occasional accidents still. We want to be completely transparent that Gigi does not walk well on a leash, and she is not likely to be a cuddly lap dog. She has so much potential in her sweet soul to just want to be with someone who will appreciate her for who she is. We would recommend that her potential family have a fenced in yard for her to exercise and potty safely. As a mill dog she is considered a flight risk, and a fence will help provide extra security (including the fact that she does not do well on a leash). Gigi Bardot is truly a beautiful girl, and hopes that someone is out there who is willing to give her all the love she deserves. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs. All our dogs have been treated with de-wormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 months or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption. We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
