Story
Yogi is pending adoption We have a transport leaving on March 25th 2026 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add our sweet pups to our trip for the right families 😊 Yogi, Bodhi & Kenji Shih Tzu Brothers | Born 11/19/2025 Every once in a while a group of puppies comes along that reminds you just how joyful and full of personality Shih Tzus truly are. Yogi, Bodhi, and Kenji are three wonderful little brothers who entered our care through a situation that was never intended but worked out exactly the way it needed to. Their previous family owned both parents and had already scheduled spay surgeries for their girls. Unfortunately, before those appointments could take place, both females went into heat and their male Shih Tzu managed to do his job before anyone realized what had happened. What followed was a surprise double litter. The family loved these puppies dearly and cared for them beautifully during their earliest weeks, but they also recognized that raising and placing six puppies responsibly was more than they were equipped to do. When the puppies were old enough to be weaned, they reached out to us so we could step in to continue their care, training, socialization, veterinary work, and eventually help find each of them the kind of forever home they deserve. The boys’ mother is a traditional Shih Tzu, and their father is also a traditional Shih Tzu. These three brothers may share the same start in life, but their personalities are wonderfully unique. Yogi – 7.49 lbs Yogi is the confident little explorer of the group. He approaches life with curiosity and excitement and is often the first one to check out something new. He’s playful, outgoing, and full of personality but equally enjoys being scooped up for snuggles. Yogi has a great balance of playful energy and affectionate companionship. Bodhi – 8.08 lbs Bodhi is the thoughtful sweetheart of the trio. He tends to observe the world for a moment before diving into the fun, but once he does, he’s right there with his brothers enjoying every minute. Bodhi has an incredibly gentle personality and a calm, loving presence that makes people fall for him quickly. Kenji – 6.47 lbs Kenji is the tiny charmer. He’s playful, social, and incredibly affectionate with everyone he meets. He has that classic Shih Tzu sweetness and seems happiest when he’s interacting with people. Kenji is full of love and personality and thrives on connection. All three boys are extremely social and enjoy meeting new people. They love playing together but are also content entertaining themselves with a favorite toy. They have already begun learning basic structure and are showing how intelligent and eager to learn they are. They currently know “stay” and are working on “sit,” especially when treats are involved. They sleep through the night and are pad trained. Like most puppies, a few of them have discovered that occasionally carrying the pad to their bed is more entertaining than using it, but a quick correction usually reminds them it belongs on the floor. They travel well and enjoy going along for rides around town. Because they have been held and loved since birth, they are extremely comfortable being handled and cuddled. Leash training will begin in their adoptive homes as we waited until all vaccines were completed before allowing them outside in shared dog areas. Health & Veterinary Care All puppies have received: • Four rounds of DA2PP vaccinations • First Bordetella vaccine • One-year Rabies vaccine • Microchips They have been thoroughly examined by our veterinarian and will go home with individual health certificates confirming healthy exams. A fecal test has also been submitted to the lab and the results came back with one type of parasite (worm) so the puppies are all currently being dewormed through our vet to clear that up. Spay & Neuter Contract Because of their young age, these puppies will be placed on spay and neuter contracts. While some rescues sterilize puppies very early, we believe in allowing their bodies the opportunity to grow and mature before undergoing those procedures whenever possible. Allowing dogs to reach full physical development can support healthier joint development, hormone balance, and overall growth. Adopters will agree to have their puppy spayed or neutered at an appropriate age recommended by their veterinarian. A portion of each puppy’s adoption fee has already gone toward ensuring the spay and neuter procedures for both parents were completed, so their previous family will never experience another accidental litter again. Adoption Fee Each puppy’s adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of their adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/yogi-bodhi-kenji This covers: • All veterinary care listed above including their deworming though our vet. • Six plus weeks of rescue care, training, and socialization • Microchipping and health certificates Life With These Boys Shih Tzus are known for their affectionate and companion-oriented personalities, and these boys truly embody that spirit. They will thrive in homes where they can be part of daily life — whether that means relaxing beside you while you read, riding along for errands, or playing with toys at your feet while you work. Their playful nature brings joy, but their loving hearts make them incredible companions. Each of these boys is ready to bring laughter, affection, and warmth into the life of the person meant for them. Don’t miss the chance to welcome one of these special little souls into your world.

Story
We have a transport leaving the end of March 2026 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add Allie to our trip for the right family 😊 Meet Allie 💗 Soft. Sweet. Quietly overflowing with love. Allie is the gentle heartbeat in a tiny 4.6-lb body. She looks just like a miniature Shih Tzu,... soft eyes, delicate features, and a calm presence that feels like home. She is beautifully tempered, just like her sister, but carries herself with a quieter sweetness. Meeting new people, she may be a little shy at first. But once her heart opens to you, the love waiting inside comes pouring out in the most beautiful way. She bonds deeply. She snuggles fully. She gives kisses like they are precious gifts. Allie loves playtime, loves to run around and be her happy self, and equally loves curling up close for snuggles. She is pad trained and crate trained, and happily sleeps in her crate or beside you if invited. Because of her tiny size, she is always accompanied outside for potty time. Leash training will be newer to her as well, but she will adjust beautifully with gentle guidance. She sheds lightly (even less than Penny), and with regular grooming her coat remains very manageable. She is wonderful at the groomer and enjoys being pampered. She is great with other dogs and cats alike and truly loves everyone, even if she takes a moment to warm up. Her previous owner made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her girls due to leaving for service training out of state and wanted them to know the same depth of love she always gave them. Allie deserves that continuation of devotion. She does not need to be adopted with her sister, though they complement each other beautifully if someone desires a pair. Allie is ready to become someone’s soft little shadow, lap baby, and devoted princess. Adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/allie-2 This covers her spay, vaccines, microchip and registration, dental cleaning and baby tooth extractions (retained baby teeth removed), full veterinary exam, grooming, and training while in our care. Birthday: 2/20/25
