Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ruby Goose is a beautiful 7 year old 12 pound Shih Tzu looking for her perfect forever home. She has made great progress here in rescue, but did have an incident that caused her to lose an eye. Ruby is good with other level headed dogs, but unfortunately she didn't mesh with her foster sister and was the recipient of trauma. HOWEVER, she has no residual issues with dogs and lives happily in a large pack of small dogs in her foster home, but a potential home should know thei dog and if they aren't tolerant of others then Ruby won't be a good fit. She is very well trained with tons of commands, crate trained (and should continue using a crate to eat and sleep in a new home to ensure she keeps healthy boundaries), leash trained, and house trained on pee pads or to go outside. Ruby Goose loves adventures, car rides, toys, and playful furry siblings as long as they aren't cats, since she doesn't like the feline species. Ruby Goose is a great little girl, but can get out of hand if you don't set clear boundaries that she is a dog and a crate must be used as we say to ensure she lives a happy life with healthy attachments to her adult humans. This girl is all healed, healthy, and ready for a home of her own! To adopt Ruby Goose, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, spay, and all the love you can handle! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.(YOU MUST BE WITHIN A TWO HOUR DRIVE OF GRANTVILLE PA TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN ADOPTER.)Posted 1/8/25 Geo could not be cared for by his previous owner.  He is 15 months old and a bundle of energy.  He is quite a lover and gets along well with dogs and I believe cats altho can be a but of of pest.  He has been housetrained (here).  I think he loves having another dog to play with and it keeps him social.  He travels well and is crate trained but sometimes can be vocal so no apartment living for him.  Because of his energy we are requesting a fenced yard. He does require grooming every 6-8 weeks.  His adoption fee is $350. The dogs are Spayed or Neutered, Heartworm/Lyme tested, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and overall Vet checked. Story
Sweetheart Olive is a 6-year-old shih tzu, weighing in at slightly more than 10 pounds. Don’t let her diminutive size fool you - she is a playful, sweet girl with lots of personality! Once you get to know her, Olive will ‘dance’ for you to ask for treats, love, and cuddles. Although a little shy and timid at first, when her playful side comes out you will fall in love! She loves playing with her toys, going on slow, long walks, and is very excited when her foster families kids get home from school every day! Olive is good with kids, dogs, cats, and men, although it did take her a little bit longer to warm up to her foster dad. Now that they’re friends, she enjoys cuddling with him on the couch, and asking him for pets. The kids she lives with (9,9,8) enjoy dangling long toys for her to bat at, and love dancing with her! Her foster mom describes Olive is extraordinarily sweet, gentle and loving. She is also very quiet and has only barked once since arriving to rescue in late November. Olive can go up and down stairs but often prefers to be carrier! She is a little nervous with car rides, but settles in quickly and does well with her foster mom's reassurance. Olive sleeps in her crate all night, and enjoys snuggling into the nest of blankets her foster mom set up for her. She is doing well with her housetraining, but will use a pee pad when it’s available, and prefers to use a pee pad if it’s snowing or raining. There will always be some regression when transitioning households, and Olive’s adopter will need to reinforce her house training with positive reinforcement. Olive does ask to go out, but her request is indistinguishable from her request for treats/pets/cuddles, so she would benefit from a regular schedule. Olive walks nicely on a leash and does NOT require a fenced-in-backyard. When she arrived in rescue, Olive was covered in severe mats and needed to be shaved. Because it’s winter and her fur is still very fine, she needs to wear a coat or fleece outfit when she goes out for a walk. She does not mind wearing clothes, and will cooperate to get dressed! She also arrived with small masses inside her ears, which were excised and biopsied and came back as benign polyps. Her adopter will have to clean her ears daily as needed to stay on top of any infections, and understand there is a possibility the polyps could grow back and would need future surgical attention. They did not seem to affect her hearing. Olive has been spayed, received a dental and some necessary extractions, is up-to-date on her vaccines and preventatives, and is ready for her forever home! She is being fostered in the Reading, Pa. area so all potential adopters will have to travel to meet her. Her adoption donation is $350. If she sounds like a good fit for a new furry best friend please apply through our website at zoehouserescue.com Kennel License #9117 PO Box 2372 Reading, PA. 19608

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Looking for a loyal, loving, and charming sidekick? Meet Winston, a 2.5-year-old Shih Tzu with a personality as endearing as his fluffy coat! Weighing in at 15 pounds, Winston is the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddle-ready sweetness. Winston’s medium energy level means he’s always up for a bit of fun but equally loves his downtime. He’s happiest when he’s with his people, following you step for step, sitting in your lap, or soaking up belly rubs. He even enjoys bath time and being brushed, so grooming is a breeze! What makes Winston extra special? His love for life and his adorable quirks! From the way he lights up when he’s running around the yard with other dogs to the pure joy he shows during snuggle sessions, Winston has a knack for making every moment feel a little brighter. And when he gazes at you with his one eye, you’ll know just how much love he has to give—he’s perfectly healthy after his eye removal and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. Winston is a smart little guy who already knows commands like “stay,” “stop,” and “come.” He’s 90% house-trained and only needs a consistent schedule or access to a doggy door to master the rest. He’s also crate trained and does wonderfully when crated. While Winston is great with other dogs and loves to play, he’s not a fan of cats—so a cat-free home is best for this spirited pup. He walks beautifully on a leash, making him a great companion for neighborhood strolls, and he rides well in the car, ready to tag along for any adventure. The ideal home for Winston is one where he can soak up plenty of one-on-one attention from his people and enjoy daily physical activity, like running in the yard or playing with doggy friends. A home that values his loving, happy-go-lucky personality and gives him the love and care he deserves will be rewarded with a devoted, joyful companion. If you’re ready to welcome a charming, playful, and affectionate pup into your life, Winston is waiting to meet you! Apply today to make him part of your family  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. January 7, 2025, 1:46 pm
