Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bailey is a beautiful, 1 year old, 12 pound Shih Tzu looking for her happily ever after! She is very outgoing, and loves to snuggle, play with toys, and be silly. She lived her life in a tiny closet before coming to us so she is learning how to be a dog. She will potty on pee pads and outside, but is always wanting her human along for support. She is all finished with her vetting, and in perfect health despite her rough start. Bailey rides well in a car, is crate trained, great with other young dogs, and will be a wonderful addition to a lucky family! To adopt Bailey, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, spay, and all the love you can handle! NOTE - Bailey will not be adopted with her littermate, Brookland.  PA Kennel License 17652 Lebanon, PAVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 20, 2026, 7:04 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snoopy is an adorable 4 year old, 13 pound Shih Tzu looking for his happily ever after! He is a phenomenal guy as long as nothing of high value such as bones or long lasting chews are involved and he is crated while humans eat. If those two rules are followed, he is PERFECT! Snoopy is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and does well with other small dogs. He is great for grooming but does get squirmy for the water part. He is great for vet visits unless blood needs drawn, then he needs some sedative medication beforehand or he flails like a helicopter. Snoopy is great at giving clear signs of being unsure during his settle in time to a new environment and if you follow his ques, he will be your vest friends, and allow all handling in a weeks time. If you are willing to set some small boundaries and be patient, this handsome boy could be perfect for you! To adopt Snoopy, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, dental, and all the love you can handle! Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.1/31/26 Still available! 1/17/26 Prudence and Princeton are a happy, sweet, little bonded pair of Shih Tzus (possibly mixed with Lhasa Apso?). These 2 precious babies were found as strays, and it was later found that their owner had moved and left them behind. Prudence is the girl and she has the darker coloring. She is slightly smaller than her brother. They are both around 15 lbs. They are a little bit shy at first, but warm up quickly with a little bit of baby talk. They have been with their foster for a little while now because it took a while for us to fit them into the spay/neuter schedule. Princeton has a cherry eye that will be surgically fixed next week. Once that is done, they will be ready for their own home! We feel that it is important for their mental health to be kept together, because they are very bonded to one another. They both seem to be young, around 2 years old. They will need a little help with house training, but they do well in their crate at their foster home. Once they are in their own home where they can receive more individual attention, they will learn faster. It is difficult to work on training in their current foster situation. These little ones are going to be such a great addition to someone's family! Prudence and Princeton are located in Arkansas. They can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
DOB 4-30-2025 DeChen is looking for his new home and Mom! He's a beautiful Shih Tzu with a good personality, loves to play and gets along with others. DeChen is complete on all medical, up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative and has received a ProHeart6 preventative injection. This boy will come with all his registration and medical papers. His adoption fee is 900.00, his transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, they are the best and deliver to East Coast every other week. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
