Meet Oreo!!! This sweet little girl was found in a cage on the sidewalk in downtown Philadelphia. She was taken to ACCT Philly and we were able to pull her out of the shelter and into our rescue where she would be fostered in a loving environment and not a cage. Oreo is it a Shih Tzu estimated to be around four years old. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and on preventatives. Oreo loves to snuggle with her people, with other dogs, or just relax by herself. She gets along with dogs both big and small as well as cats. She loves running around the fully fenced in yard at her foster home. She also likes going for walks and walks very nice on a leash. She does well when crated if you have to go out but also does fine if confined to a room if you need to go away. DeChen is complete on all medical, up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative and has received a ProHeart6 preventative injection. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families. We have many sponsorship dogs. Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :) So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.
