Raya came from a commercial breeding situation and is still learning what it means to be a pet. She needs patience, consistency, and love - and in return, Raya will continue to make meaningful progress, just as she has in her foster home. During the workday, Raya tends to keep to herself and is content doing her own thing. In the evenings, she enjoys being on the couch with her foster family. She may need a little coaxing to get there, but once she’s settled, Raya is happy to relax, lay with you and be pet. Raya loves interacting with playful dogs and truly thrives around them. Bubbles and her sister and brother, Buttercup and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 9 pounds and is probably full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Although and three pups are extremely sweet, Bubbles is a most friendly and a super snuggler! She plays great with her brother and sister and we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them. She would do well with older children and we have not had her around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction.
