He is 15 months old and a bundle of energy. He is quite a lover and gets along well with dogs and I believe cats altho can be a bit of a pest. He has been housetrained (here). I think he loves having another dog to play with and it keeps him social. He travels well and is crate trained but sometimes can be vocal so no apartment living for him. Because of his energy we are requesting a fenced yard. He does require grooming every 6-8 weeks. His adoption fee is $350. The dogs are Spayed or Neutered, Heartworm/Lyme tested, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and overall Vet checked. We are excited to introduce Quinn, a senior female Shih Tzu. Quinn is estimated to be at least 9 years old and weighs 13 lbs. She is a sociable little girl who thoroughly enjoys walks. Her vision and hearing are somewhat impaired, which makes her stay close to her people. She still has a streak of confident independence though – your typical Shih Tzu! Quinn is house-trained. She isn’t super fond of crates. At night, she likes snuggling up with her people. Quinn is open to meeting other calm dogs and can be cat tested. She would prefer a calmer home without little kids; however, older, respectful children would be fine. Quinn’s liver values are higher than normal and she is on Denamarin, a liver health supplement, to manage it. She will likely need to continue this for the remainder of her life. We are so excited to help place this adorable two year old Shih Tzu boy named Cocoa in a perfect new forever home. Surrendered by his owner due to the inability to properly vet him and continue to groom him, he and his companion girl latte were placed in Critter.Cavalry's care April 5th. We have spent the past week watching this amazing and happy little guy.Find his niche quickly within the new foster home. To say that he is a happy boy, is an understatement. To say that he is easy to fit in is also an understatement. He has walked right in, said hello, to all the other foster dogs and permanent ones living with their owner, and gone about his business of being a delight to have around. He made new friends quickly within the fosterhome and even with the most difficult dog there, who doesn't accept just 'anyone'. He within hours went to the dog park and was the life of the party. His foster mom was amazed as she is well experienced in taking in dogs of all sizes and breeds. She was eager to report an A+ evaluation of his charming demeanor/personality, and ability to be adopted quickly with no issues or emotional problems to work on. How rare and wonderful to have boy to rehome. Of course, Critter Cavalry is having him neutered as we speak and all updates on shots, heartworm test, fecal, microchip and full vet exam done as well.
