10/7/26 foster family pupdate💞: His routine now is only a special diet and occasional medicated baths. His hair is growing back. BEAUTY BOI🥹 He does get along with other dogs but we think he would absolutely shine in a house with no other dogs too. He’s very opinionated and will let you know when he doesn’t want to do something. Okay boundaries💅🏼 He’s been sleeping in late, not wanting to come out of his crate until noon! He likes to play with toys, especially balls.

He happily makes his rounds for pets and isn’t afraid to hop right into your lap when he’s ready for some cuddles. When he’s not soaking up attention, Cookie Monster loves to play! He enjoys running, playing chase, and hanging out with canine friends of all sizes. He has wonderful social skills, shares toys nicely, and even patiently waits his turn for treats. Cookie Monster has also shown how sweet he can be with feline friends. During his cat introduction, he calmly said hello, explored the room, and later came back to give the kitty a little face lick! He’s already showing off some great puppy skills, including walking nicely on leash, responding well to guidance, and happily going into his kennel. With his outgoing nature, he could make an awesome adventure buddy for walks, dog-friendly patios, brewery trips, and plenty of outings with his future family. Oreo Little Big Guy has a foster family full of Great Danes, Dobermans, and big bully breeds, and he fits right in like someone just ordered him in the wrong size. This little gentleman is comfortable, confident, and happy. His favorite place in that very big world, though, is someone’s lap. According to his foster, he can settle in for hours, so get comfortable before inviting him up. He’s friendly, affectionate, and comfortable being picked up and handled, which is convenient for a dog whose preferred seating comes with a person attached. The day we met him he happily accepted everyones attention, tried a few laps on for size and even rolled onto his back for a belly rub. He has a lovely way of making himself at home with people, without much fuss or fanfare. His social confidence carries right over to other dogs. Oreo lives with dogs who tower over him and moves among them with the casual comfort of someone who knows he belongs. He was equally relaxed meeting small dogs, making him a lovely possibility for a home with canine company of just about any size. He enjoys sharing space and taking a good sniff around- he has no interest in turning the afternoon into a wrestling match. He brought that same polite attitude to meeting our house cat. Oreo gave him a sniff, decided that was plenty of introduction, and went about his business. They spent time freely sharing the house without any issues. A home with a calm, dog-savvy cat could be a wonderful fit for him. Oreo is also a great car rider, ready to come along for the outing and enjoy your company along the way. With his easygoing nature and comfort meeting new friends, he could suit a variety of homes, including an apartment. Give him time with his people, opportunities to explore, and a cozy place on your lap, and you’re speaking his language. Oreo is estimated to be 1 year old and we strongly suspect this little guy is a Shih Tzu, although, as with any rescue, his breed and are are simply our best guess. Meet Jasper and Chloe! This sweet pair of seniors are in a long-term relationship, and we cannot separate them after 45+ dog years together. They are in need of a home that can open their hearts to both easy-going dogs. Jasper, a Shih Tzu born in August 2011, is ready to go with the flow. Need someone to lend an ear (despite not being able to hear that well) or just be a calming presence? Jasper is your guy! Chloe, a Bichon Frise mix born in September 2014, is quite the friendly gal. She is missing some teeth, leaving her tongue hanging out of her mouth in an adorable fashion. She is scheduled for a double knee replacement, and will need a home that can help her recover.
