Story
Meet Scoop 💙. Scoop is the definition of a love bug. She shows her affection by happily flopping against you, leaning into your touch, and gently pressing herself into your hand. One of her favorite things is having her little face, head, and even her arms cradled in your hand while you pet her. She absolutely adores scratches and full-body pets—and if you stop too soon, she won’t hesitate to let you know she’d like more! This sweet girl is all about love—and she wants plenty of it. Take one look into Scoop’s deep, beautiful blue eyes, and you’ll see just how expressive she is. She’s talkative, animated, and especially chatty when it’s time to eat 😊 When those stunning blue eyes meet yours, it feels like she’s inviting you right into her world. Scoop would do best as the only cat or in a home where slow, proper introductions can be made. She’s not a big fan of other cats, but with patience and the right setup, she may adjust. If you’re looking for a deeply affectionate, engaging companion, Scoop might just be your perfect match. If you think Scoop would be a perfect fit for your family, please submit an application today at www.secondchancekitty.org. All Second Chance Kitty cats are free fed a quality dry food with low or no grain and are STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. Studies have proven cats live longer, healthier lives and on average require less financial burdens at veterinary offices when they are kept indoor only. There are so many predators out there, both human and animal and it is sadly unsafe to let them roam unattended. All of our babes come altered, microchipped, vaccinated, rabies (if age appropriate), FeLV/FIV negative, dewormed, flea treated, litter box trained and full of love. Our adoption fees are a minimum $150 donation. Anything beyond $150 helps rescue another babe. Adoption isn’t an impulsive decision, it must be thought out carefully. Owning a cat is a 15 to 20+ year commitment. Can we afford a cat? If we’re renting do they allow pets here? Is there a pet deposit? Can we afford the pet deposit? What if we get sick, what if the kitty becomes ill and has to see a veterinarian? Kitty requires routine check-ups, annual vaccines, quality food, litter and toys, can we afford this? These are all questions a responsible pet owner must ask themselves. If you can make this type of commitment then you are the type of adopter we are looking for. Second Chance Kitty is a local non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting cats, kittens and an occasional dog, escape a life of abandonment, abuse and neglect

Story
This is Lakota, a female Siamese Seal Point who was found abandoned in a city. She stayed in a parking lot with her kittens, under a broken car. A passerby en route to work fed her daily and had noticed her kittens were disappearing. Lakota soon was alone and scared. The person befriended her and was able to collect her and bring her into foster care. Lakota was quiet and shy, so the foster parent provided her with a kitten to nurse, in which she lovingly did. The kitten grew and soon after was adopted. Lakota grew depressed and isolated herself hiding under the bed. Soon it was discovered that Lakota had a mouth infection which required her teeth to be removed. She now has only the two bottom fangs and eats wet food and small kibble. Lakota is a sweet, yet timid kitty. She would do best with a person who does not have any other animals and who wants to give extra love to a cat that has had a rough start. She loves to be brushed, play with a felt ball, lounge in garden/sun.

Story
She is an 8-month-old cat who is very active and full of energy. She loves to play, explore, and stay busy she would do great in a home that can keep up with her playful personality. She’s curious, smart, and has a fun, silly side that will keep you entertained. I acquired her when she was younger and she has been a joy to have. Unfortunately, I am moving and unable to take her with me, so I want to make sure she finds a loving, stable home where she’ll get plenty of attention and playtime. She would do best with someone who has the time and patience to engage with her energy and give her lots of love.
