Story
Meet Handsome! This sweet senior guy is 13 years old and was in need of rescue after his owner died late last year. A friend of the owner took him in until rescue could be found and she got him right in to a vet. Handsome got his teethies cleaned and his other medical services updated; luckily, he’d been neutered a long time ago when he was just a young whippersnapper! Handsome has always been an indoor kitty and is incredibly friendly and cuddly. He loves nothing more than to snuggle up with his foster and get plenty of affection. He enjoys playing with toys, his nighttime zoomies and seeing just how loud he can purr- he’s the expert at this! Handsome would love a second chance at a new forever home. Just make sure that your lap is readily available! Interested in adopting? Please visit our website at www.thecatsmeowanimalrescue.org to fill out an application. One application covers all cats and kittens staying at our Petco locations, and those in individual foster homes. Questions? Story
Marshall patrolled his beat for 11 years - keeping all the colony cats in line and giving a friendly tip the hat to the kind neighbors who shared thier vittles on his route.   He recently had a nasty infection from some imbedded foxtails and had to undergo surgery and an extended stay indoors to recover.  Getting to know him, and given the time away from his territory, his rescuer felt it was best to keep him safe inside rather than returning him to the dangers of his street  patrol.   He is a sweet and affectionate little guy. Very playful and kind, with a soft meow when he wants attention.  He's become a favorite to the fosters who's paths he's crossed, now he needs a home of his own.  February 22, 2024, 10:59 pm

Story
Falafel is a beautiful boy who just wants a nice quiet home. He has something called Cryptococcus. This is a fungus and he is on oral medication for it. He will need to be on these meds for a while which means he is available to Foster to Adopt. This means that while he is still being fostered we will cover the medical treatments. He mostly just sits in his cubby but I'm sure once he's in his forever home, he will open up and be his true cute self.

Story
Sandy and Bijou are a sweet but shy bonded pair. They are in a busy foster home which is not ideal for them, because when only one adult is home they come out and toodle around the house. They would thrive in a quiet home without other animals or children. When the house is busy, they spend their day snuggled up together in their favorite hut. At night however when things are quiet, they run free and are often found lounging on the couch in the morning. We believe they are shy during the day due to their doggy brother, and human kid siblings running around. Bijou was rescued in 2020 as a stray cat who had recently given birth (her kittens have all been adopted). Sandy was a stray kitten who we rescued in 2022 from a bad area. They have found comfort in each other in their foster home. They live great lives and seem happy - but they would be happier in a quiet and patient forever home where they would have a chance to build a sweet relationship with their human(s).

Story
Hi! I'm Blackbird and I love to purr and make biscuits! I am sweet, gentle and friendly and am looking for love. I hope to be in a home with someone who is there a lot so I am not alone for long periods, unless another sweet and calm cat also lives there to keep me company. I had a bad leg injury from being lost outside, but it is all better now and my fur is growing back! I'm a very good girl and can't wait to meet you!

Story
Hey there, gentle souls! I'm Aslana, a furry enchantress with a coat as soft as moonlight and eyes that hold the secrets of a thousand starry nights. Life has been an interesting journey for me, and I'm seeking someone special who understands the art of patience and the beauty of slow-blooming connections. I've had my share of experiences, and while I might seem reserved, there's a universe of warmth within me waiting to unfold. Found comfort on the streets, and now I'm on a quest for a compassionate adopter who can appreciate the delicate dance of building trust with a shy feline like me. They say patience is a virtue, and in my case, it's the key to unlocking the true magic that lies within. I'm a bit shy, especially around humans, but give me the time I need, and you'll discover a gentle spirit who just wants to be understood. I've always found solace in the company of fellow felines, so if you have other cats, I'm sure we'll get along just fine. I'm yearning for a quiet and understanding home where I can feel safe to explore and gradually open my heart. If you're the kind of person who appreciates the beauty of slow moments and the joy of earning a cat's trust, we might be the purr-fect match. A cozy corner, some soft blankets, and a bit of patience - that's all I need to feel at home. Remember, I might take some time to be comfortable around humans, but with your patience and understanding, we can create a bond that's as enduring as the stars in the night sky.
