Story
We're not entirely convinced Dumpling is a cat.
He runs like a bunny, hangs upside down like a bat, occasionally sounds like a cricket or barn owl, and somehow possesses the climbing abilities of a small primate. But according to our paperwork, he is, in fact, a kitten.
Dumpling is an adventurous little weirdo with absolutely no understanding of gravity. This boy can climb ANYTHING. Cat trees are merely beginner level. Don't be surprised if you look up one day and find him investigating a chandelier, even if getting there should have completely defied the laws of physics.
When he's not scaling your home or hanging upside down from the cat tree like a bat, Dumpling has an incredibly sweet side. He LOVES being held like a baby, tucked into the crook of your arm while he soaks up all the attention.
He's also remarkably confident around other animals. Dumpling loves playing with bigger cats and has approximately zero fear of his foster's dog. In his mind, everyone is a potential friend, playmate, or audience for his latest stunt.
And then there's his vocabulary.
Dumpling is a very talkative boy, but a simple "meow" apparently isn't enough for him. He has an entire collection of noises ranging from cricket to barn owl and just about everything in between. We're fairly certain he's multilingual. We just haven't figured out any of the languages yet.
Dumpling is cuddly, fearless, hilarious, social, and wonderfully weird. If you're looking for a normal, predictable kitten, we cannot in good conscience recommend him.
But if you'd like a bunny-bat-cat hybrid who speaks several unidentified languages, sleeps like a baby in your arms, and may occasionally need to be retrieved from the ceiling, Dumpling is absolutely your guy.
Currently in a foster home in Chattanooga, TN, and available for transport to a number of locations within the continental United States.
