Meet Roach! Roach is a handsome boy with a sweet personality who may need a little time to feel comfortable with new people. He can be nervous at first, but with some love, patience, and a gentle approach, he’ll warm up and show you his charming side. Once he feels safe, Roach enjoys having little conversations with his people and will happily chat with you in his own special way. He also loves being brushed, which can be a wonderful way to bond with him. Roach has lived with other cats and did well with them. He has also been around small dogs and has done well with canine companions. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Like many cats, he may be a bit of a night owl — it’s been known for Roach and his feline friends to sleep the day away and play all night! I took Bowie in when his owner unexpectedly passed away. After the death of his owner, he had a urethral blockage and the family wanted to euthanize. Instead I opted for surgery and have kept him during his recovery. It has been a year and a half and he is doing great. He eats specific food do reduce his chance at another obstruction. He since has a clean bill of health although we continue the specific food to be safe and don’t allow and table food and treats. Apart from the food, Bowie has no other special needs and is a great companion. He has been around small-medium dogs, and children over 10 without issue. Unsure about other cats or larger dogs.

Hi! I am Snowball I am a young 2 year old flame point Siamese, however it is likely that I am a domestic shorthaired mixed with Siamese as well. My life started as a farm kitty who just needed more. i came to the shelter with my baby, Honey. We both came in need of help regarding our eyes and we both had upper respiratory infections. My shelter family went to work and got us on medications and we are doing great now! Sometimes, I have a leaky/watery eye that is likely an old eye injury. I do still have a scab under my left eye on the bridge of my nose. It is healing but it does sometimes flare up. It doesn't seem to bother me though. My personality is one that is quiet and reserved. I do not mind other cats but also do well on my own. I have a pretty easygoing personality. I am most likely not a kitty that will come to you wanting affection BUT I love receiving all of the love when you come to me. This may change in time as I become more comfortable. I enjoy being pet, talked to and being in good company. I do not care for a lot of noise or activity so a quieter, calmer home would be best for me. I am spayed and I am up to date on my age appropriate vaccines. I was tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia. The test was negative for both. I receive routine flea and tick preventatives, monthly as well as some well deserved pampering periodically: brushing, nail trims & ear cleaning. My ideal home includes a home where I can get lots of love but also be able to exist and do my own thing. I do not know how I would do with dogs. I would do best in a home with older kids who understand boundaries and are more quiet and lower energy. I need a family that is caring, compassionate and loving. I want a family that is patient, willing to give me what I need: a warm bed, plenty of good food & clean water, and lots of pets and love.
