Max is an adult neutered male Flame Point Siamese. Max is sweet and very laid back. He came in with some nasty bite wounds on his front paw but after seeing the vet and getting much needed antibiotics, he is doing great.  Max tested positive for FIV, which is important information to know, though it does not mean he won’t enjoy a long and healthy life. FIV is transmitted between cats through deep bite wounds, typically during fights, so it is not easily spread. Max’s fighting days are behind him.  He is now ready to join a family who will love him forever!    Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $100 fee for any county animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. Ready to meet Dan? 😍 Dan is a siamese colored kitten that came into our care at only 2 weeks old. The baby was found crying alone in the rain, wet and cold 🥺 Despite his rough beginning, Dan is now a healthy, active, and rambunctious little boy! Dan is all about action - he'll zoom around and play to his heart's content 😄 Like many kittens his age, Dan is curious about anything and everything, and he thrives when given the opportunity to explore, climb, and chase toys around the house 🐾 Dan is a high energy boy that will require another young, active cat in the house to play with! ❤️ Special Home Needed for a Very Special Girl ❤️ Sometimes the cats who need us the most aren't the ones who immediately climb into our laps. We have a beautiful 4-year-old brown Siamese girl who came to us after being picked up by ACS with her kittens. Her babies are friendly, happy little kitties, but Momma is a different story. This beautiful girl is spicy, frightened, and unsure of people. She cannot be held right now, and the world can still be a pretty scary place for her. But we don't believe that means she doesn't deserve a loving home. We believe she simply needs someone who is willing to give her time, patience, and the chance to learn that she is safe. 🐾 Since coming into rescue, she has been spayed and brought up to date on her vaccinations, so now we're hoping to find the special person who will take the next step with her. 🏡 We are looking for a patient, understanding adopter who doesn't expect an instant lap cat. Someone who will let her come out of her shell at her own pace. Someone who understands that sitting quietly in the same room, offering treats, playing with a wand toy, or simply giving her a safe place to observe the world can be a huge step forward. Maybe she will never be the type of cat who wants to be carried around. And that's okay. Maybe her way of saying "I love you" will be sitting beside you instead of on your lap. Maybe she'll eventually accept a gentle touch. Maybe she'll surprise us all. Meet Paloma beautiful female Siamese kitten born on 5/3/2026, whose gentle little heart is already shining through at just 3 months old. Paloma is a playful, curious kitten who loves to explore the world around her, but what she treasures most is the comfort and security of being with her bonded sibling, Kalani. Their connection is truly special — they find confidence, joy, and love in one another, and they must be adopted together so that bond can stay unbroken. Watching them side by side is a reminder of just how powerful love and companionship can be, and they are ready to share that same warmth with a forever family. Paloma & Kalani have not been around children, so we are looking for a home with children ages 8 and older. They have also not been around dogs, so we are seeking either a dog-free home or a home with an older, calm dog who has lived successfully with cats. Both kittens are spayed/neutered, have age-appropriate vaccinations, have been parasite treated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and are microchipped. Meet Dierdre, a resilient and gentle girl with a heart full of potential! 💕 She was rescued from a property overrun with sick, feral cats, and we knew she was still young enough to learn that people can be safe and trusted. With patience, consistency, and a whole lot of love, Dierdre slowly began to come out of her shell—and once she did, her sweet and silly personality started to shine through! Dierdre will still need a long, gentle adjustment period in her new home, but with time and love, we know she will grow into a truly wonderful companion! She thrives when she feels safe and secure, and for that reason, we would love for Dierdre to be adopted with her sister Regan.
