Story
Pip Male I 4 months I UTD Vaccines I Dewormed I Neutered I Microchipped I FeLV/FIV Negative Meet Pip! Pip is a handsome Lynx Point Siamese Mix! Pip came into our care as from one of our local shelters. He was surrendered as a stray with multiple pelvic fractures. With some rest and some intense TLC, Pip went from struggling to walk to zipping around the foster room with his best bud, Otis. Pip is a snuggler at heart. He loves nothing more than a good lap to curl up in. He will stare at you with his crystal blue eyes and if that doesn’t result in an invite to cuddle, he will start chirping. If Pip even thinks you are going to pet him, he will start purring from across the room. Pip does have a playful side and loves to pounce around chasing his springs and wrestle with his buddies. Pip likes other kitties and would do well with a calm companion. His current bestie is Otis and they would make a great pair as they have different energy levels. *** Interested in Adopting? *** Please complete the adoption application in full. Inquiries and Matches are not evaluated. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. Our priority is finding the best match for each cat or kitten. Applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens are typically given higher priority. Due to concerns about Single Kitten Syndrome (SKS), young kittens are not eligible for solo adoption unless there is already a young kitty of similar energy in the home. What is Single Kitten Syndrome? Single Kitten Syndrome occurs when young kittens are adopted alone. Without a feline playmate, they may develop behavioral issues such as: • Aggression or anxiety • Inappropriate chewing or scratching • Litter box avoidance • Difficulty adjusting to new pets or children later in life While not all single kittens experience these challenges, it’s a common reason cats are rehomed later. The best way to prevent SKS is to adopt kittens in pairs or ensure there is already a playful, compatible cat in the home.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Frankie! ❤️ Frankie is ready to trade life on the streets for cozy beds, endless pets, and a family of his very own. And if his foster home is any indication, he's going to make someone a pretty wonderful companion! This approximately six-year-old sweetheart has spent years fending for himself outdoors, but he's making up for lost time. He's incredibly sweet, loves getting pets, and has even claimed a spot in his college-student foster's bed. Apparently, he understands that the best part of indoor living is having a human to snuggle with! When Frankie came into Windsor Kittens' care, we discovered he was severely underweight and struggling with significant dental and oral disease. He's already undergone dental surgery, including the removal of six teeth, and we're happy to report that his biopsy came back negative for cancer! His medical journey isn't quite finished, though. Frankie has severe ulcers on his tongue, and our veterinary team is working to determine what's causing them and what treatment he needs next. He's safe, getting nutritious meals, and receiving the care he deserves while we figure out the best path forward. We're looking for a special home willing to continue supporting Frankie through his medical journey. His future family will need to be comfortable working with us and his veterinary team as we determine his ongoing care needs. After years of surviving on his own, Frankie has discovered how wonderful it is to be loved. Now he just needs a permanent place to call home. Could it be yours?

Story
NALA is beautiful on the outside but temperamental on the inside. Surrendered to the SCHS because she was combative with the other cat in the home, she is playful but will dictate when she wants what. She's definitely made progress at the SCHS, even wanting attention. Then, out of nowhere, she'll pop you to let you know she's done. She must go to an experienced cat owner and be an only cat. The standard adoption fee is $120 cash or $125 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. You may complete an application to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab. Like us on facebook at Stanly County Humane Society Cats. Thanks for considering adopting a rescue pet! Adoption fees for pets with Stanly County Humane Society are to cover the following: *Spay/Neuter *Heartworm/Feline Testing *All standard vaccinations *Rabies Vaccination *Microchip  March 8, 2026, 3:52 pm
