Story
Birthday: July 12, 2012 If you're an older cat fan, then do we have a treat for you! Ivy is full of spunk and love despite her age.  She was rescued in New Bloomfield before she was brought to LCCR.  It's difficult to tell through her photos, but she has the most beautiful crystalline sky-blue eyes!  They match exquisitely with her lynx point, ivory coat.  That's right! This girl is part Siamese! Being an older kitty, Ivy has the typical needs.  She's being treated for them, but they're relatively normal for a girl her age. She's on a special diet for her diabetes that keeps in in check.  However, she also has a heart murmur, cataracts, and slight loss of hearing. Does this effect her longevity? As long as she gets regular check ups and a healthy diet, she can live a completely normal life! Though she cannot see very well, she gets around great! It may sound like a lot, but maintaining her health isn't as bad as it may seem! If this deters you, we think we can reel you back because this girl has A LOT going for her! Her Siamese side likes to take over conversations, and she loves to chat with her humans! She would love to be in a quieter home where she can have lots of time with her future family.  With time and patience, she even managed to integrate with other kitties. So, if you have a kitty at home for her, a slow introduction might go a ways for little Ivy!  She's incredibly sociable, wanting to do nothing more than spend time with you.  If there are two things she adores, it's a cozy bed and a spot in the sun! She's slowly showing interest in laps and learning how to play with her toys.  All in all, she's a true blue sweetheart who will cuddle up with you in no time.  If you have a place in your heart or a soft spot for older kitties, this girl is the one for you! Her adoption donation is $50 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. Story
Say hello to Mallory! This extra chunky girl was adopted from us in 2022 and unfortunately returned when her owner could no longer care for her. Ms. Mallory was not the happiest returning to us and has had some difficulty adjusting to being here at the shelter. She is a little bit of a sassy girl and definitely makes it known when she is not in the mood for attention, but has generally been a little sweeter on our adoption floor! In fact, as she is so chubby and in need of some extra pounds off her, she is currently free roaming in our adoption building and making friends with staff and volunteers. Mallory has been excited to come up to visitors and will give a little meow even if she is not interested in getting a pet at that time. When she is in the mood for attention, though, she will happily rub against your legs and even your hand when she would like some scratches and pets. Mallory is not the biggest fan of having four paws off the ground but we do believe some of that is due to her size. This lady will need a dedicated and patient owner who will commit time to her care and diet. At this time, Mallory is still not able to clean her back end as well as she should be able to, and does need cleaned up occasionally if it is getting messy back there. She does also have a tendency to get a little matted in her hard to reach places and enjoys a good brushing. She would do best as the only kitty in her forever home and wants to be the princess of her home! Mallory would do best in a home with children who will be respectful of her space and understand that she will need time to relax on her own. Stop in and visit Mallory if she is the kitty for you! Mallory is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Story
I got Apollo from a friend in July of 2022. Her outdoor cat got pregnant and had a litter of kittens on Mother's Day, so his birthday is May 8, 2022, making him 3 now. This all started around a year ago, when he started spraying in the house. We took him and his (not related lol) brother to the vet to have them checked out. They're both totally fine, Apollo just is a really stressed out cat that needs a home where he can claim it as his royal kingdom. He is currently trapped in my room because my mom doesn't want him ruining her house more. He has caused a significant amount of damage and seeing as he won't stop spraying, I have to give him up. He is neutered, I think he just hates not being the only cat in the house. He's a weird little guy, very clean and prissy other than the spraying. Not cuddly, but will lay next to or near you. I just want him to go to a good home where he's loved and cared for, because I really do love him. Please reach out with any questions if interested!!!!!
