She was found living outside in the woods along with her 4 kittens, which was likely her first litter. Sadly, her kittens were taken by a predator, but she survived. Sapphire is a special needs kitty because she needs a special person who will help her along her road from semi feral recovery. She’s currently living inside and is still timid. She loves to be around other cats but would not suggest a home with dogs or small children. She needs someone that has time to spend with her and will give her the latitude to just “be” and progress on her own terms. Sapphire has a lot of potential but just needs the right person and a loving environment to learn to fully trust. She tries hard everyday.. Sapphire prefers to be an observer right now. She does love to chase the laser light and likes playing with balls that have bells. She also really enjoys the company of other cats. *** Petfinder Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant will cover 6 months of Muppet's arthritis injections and special food!*** Meet Miss Muppet! This sassy, toothless, senior gal is as good as it gets! She came from a really tough situation. A dumped housecat, found freezing and starving in January was luckily found and brought to the city shelter. Weighing in at barely 4lbs, she was a skeleton who needed lots of medical attention and love. The shelter got her all fixed up, and she was scooped up by us to find her forever family! She is a bit grumpy sometimes, but has a one in a million personality and adorableness that makes up for it. She is full of sass! Her pigeon coos for attention and love bites are the best!! Muppet does not like other animals, and due to her having no teeth as well as a sensitive belly, she needs to stay on Purina ProPlan Sensitive Skin & Stomach wet food. She gets a monthly injection for arthritis, which has helped her tremendously! Her forever family will need to keep her on her special food and bring her to the vet regularly for her medication.

Luca, Lola, and Lionel were all born around 5/2/2024 and are some of the friendliest kitties. These butterballs are all love and laps. They love to be around humans and while they do love to play, they also love to curl up on your lap, a cat tree, a windowsill or wherever they find comfortable, because well… they are cats, and they usually do what they want anyway. All 3 love to be in your face and right next to you – especially Lionel, the orange boy. He will be on your head, your neck, your face, anywhere he can be as close as he can to you. Lionel would be GREAT for anyone wanting a very needy, overly loving kitty. They are all litter box trained and they all have been exposed to other cats and dogs – of course with any new household we recommend slow introductions since everyone will just be meeting for the first time, but we know they can live in harmony with them 😊 These kitties would do great with children who know how to properly handle cats and understand they do like to climb, so make sure to get enough scratching posts and cat trees to keep them entertained and busy! Andy is a mellow and affectionate Siamese mix. He's about 5 years old. Andy is very social! He loves to give headbutts and gentle little nibbles on your fingers. He's always purring when he's around. Andy doesn't seem to mind the presence of other animals, but wouldn't appreciate a home with rambunctious kids or dogs. Mellow kids or dogs would be fine!
