Story
To adopt from East Coast Maine Coon Rescue (ECMCR) please fill out our adoption application which can be found on our website: http://www.ecmcr.org/form_adoption_application.php NC - CP Sapphire: Sapphire was named for her gorgeous blue eyes. She was found living outside in the woods along with her 4 kittens, which was likely her first litter. Sadly, her kittens were taken by a predator, but she survived. Sapphire is a special needs kitty because she needs a special person who will help her along her road from semi feral recovery. She’s currently living inside and is still timid. She loves to be around other cats but would not suggest a home with dogs or small children. She needs someone that has time to spend with her and will give her the latitude to just “be” and progress on her own terms. Sapphire has a lot of potential but just needs the right person and a loving environment to learn to fully trust. She tries hard everyday.. Sapphire prefers to be an observer right now. She does love to chase the laser light and likes playing with balls that have bells. She also really enjoys the company of other cats. Sapphire is a Courtesy Post listing and does not belong to East Coast Maine Coon Rescue. For more information about Sapphire, please contact Gina at taffycatrescuer@gmail.com.  October 27, 2024, 12:11 pm

Story
Ash is a big beautiful boy who loves to cuddle. He came to Cameron Animal Hospital with his sister Nova. They arrived scared and traumatized by the change, but with time and care they are doing wonderfully, and are now ready to find their forever homes. Ash may look big and brave, but this sensitive boy is often scared of new places and people, and needs a little bit of time to adjust. Once he is comfortable he is friendly, sweet, and incredibly affectionate. He loves to be cuddled and held, and is excellent with other animals. Ash is generally healthy, but he does require prescription food to prevent urinary crystals. This is a lifelong, strict requirement- he cannot eat any other food or treats. He is FeLV/FIV (-/-); has been fecal tested and prophylactically dewormed; has received a full series of FVRCP (distemper) and Rabies vaccines; and is neutered and microchipped. Ash and Nova get along well and can be adopted together; but they are not highly bonded and can be adopted separately. Ash has not been tested with dogs. He is good with children, but due to his nervousness in new situations, young hyper children are not a good fit. More than anything, Ash wants a family who will cuddle him and give him time and attention. Email CAHadoptions@gmail.com for more information.

Story
Sometimes it's a boy named Sue, and others it's a girl cat named Kevin! Kevin is a beautiful, friendly girl who loves to talk. She loves people and other animals, and is ready for her forever home. When Kevin first camer to Cameron Animal Rescue her skin was so infected and raw that she had open wounds, and was missing most of the skin on her face. She has since been treated for infection and allergies, and her skin has healed. She takes her medication with no problem in her food, but she will need medication long-term, and will need ongoing management. Therefore we are looking for an adopter with an extensive previous veteriary record. Kevin is otherwise healthy. Her adoption includes a full series of FVRCP (distemper vaccines), Rabies vaccine; FeLV/FIV testing (negative); Feline Bartonella testing; fecal testing and complete deworming. Kevin is a friend;y, playful, active girl. She is unendingly curious and loves meeting new people and seeing new things. She loves other animals, and particularly loves playing with Gecko, a 10 week old kitten who Kevin plays with and is always gentle with. Email CAHadopions@gmail.com for more information. (Please note that adoption preference is given to those living in the Northern NJ/NYC area, and all adopters must have an extensive veterinary record.)

Her mother is pure Siamese, and we don't know her father, but he is probably a Torties. But I think she is close to her father's side. Most of her babies seem to be Siamese-bred. In this photo, there is a mother and daughter. We have 4 more cats. She is 2 years old
