Ken is a handsome lilac-pt Siamese Snowshoe mix male about 1 year old (DOB about 7/1/25).  He was brought to a local veterinarian by someone who apparently found him and thought he needed to be humanely euthanized. He was extremely emaciated and dehydrated and appeared to have an injured paw. The doctor thought she could get him healthy again and asked the Stray Connection to sponsor his recovery and routine vetting.  He is doing well now and is ready for a new home. He does still limp a bit but has had physical therapy that helped. He is initially a bit cautious of people (and probably rightly so,  given his story), but he warms up super fast. He should do well with cats, older children, and nice dogs. Ken is negative for feline leukemia and aids, current on his distemper had his first distemper vaccine, been wormed, treated for fleas, vet checked and neutered.  If interested in this cutie pie, please contact Holly at 865-671-4564 (land line) or hhfrey1@tds.net  We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. Meet Manicotti, a beautiful young adult Snowshoe Siamese mix who has completed her mom job. She came to a local shelter as a stray along with several kittens. She's a friendly girl, but we think that she is seeking a home without children. Chester is a 13 year old male cat. He was my mom’s, who has suddenly passed and I am unable to keep him. He has a brother, Hank (white, aged 12) who he has been with his whole life. We are looking for someone to adopt 1 or both cats. They are both neutered and get along well with each other. He Is the alpha male! He loves to hunt (even if it’s just pretending at the window), an avid nature watcher and rough housing with brother Hank. He loves to be near you at all times and will sometimes call out for you if he doesn’t know where you are. He is the watcher and will see everyone who comes in but can be a little shy when meeting new people.

Introducing Miss Whitney. She is a retired momma cat who is looking for her forever home. While we don’t know her actual age she seems to be on the younger side as she is very playful. She is a skilled hunter. When she catches a wand toy there is no getting it back. She will proudly run off with her catch. Meet Jasper – A Gentle Soul Looking for a Feline Friend and a Forever Home Jasper is a four-year-old male Siamese sweetheart with a gentle spirit and a brave heart. His journey until now hasn’t been easy. He was found in a basement, scared, starving, and unsure of people. A vet visit revealed that severe dental issues were preventing him from eating, and he ultimately needed a full tooth extraction. He now enjoys life completely tooth-free, and the only accommodation he needs is soft pâté food and, of course, plenty of belly rubs. Despite everything he’s been through, Jasper has an incredibly open heart. Scared of the world and easily startled by loud noises, he would hide away wherever he felt safest. But with time, patience, and the help of our two social foster cats, Jasper began to blossom. Jasper can still be a little skittish and may need time and patience to feel comfortable with new people. He appreciates being approached calmly and allowed to build trust at his own pace. Once he feels safe and learns that he can trust you, his gentle, affectionate personality begins to shine through. He loves being petted and brushed and looks forward to curling up with the other cats for naps and companionship. Jasper is very social with other cats. So much so that it would be a disservice to him to adopt him into a home without at least one friendly resident cat. He spent his life outside surrounded by feline companions, and their presence continues to give him comfort, confidence, and a sense of security. Jasper also does well with calm, gentle dogs. However, because he is sensitive to sudden movements and loud noises, a home without children would be the best fit for him. Jasper is ready for a quiet, loving home with someone who understands that trust may take time and is willing to let him settle in at his own pace. In return, they’ll get to watch a once-frightened cat continue to blossom, bond with his feline friends, and finally enjoy the steady, peaceful life he deserves.
