Story
From his foster mom, Ellie: Schreiner is such a funny, sweet boy once he settles in and feels comfortable. He has a calm personality overall and enjoys hanging out nearby, keeping you company throughout the day without needing to be the center of attention all the time. One of my favorite things about him is how chatty he can be. He loves “talking” with you, following you around, and joining in on whatever you’re doing… especially bathroom trips. He also has a hilarious habit of hopping into the shower right after you get out. He’s affectionate in a really special way because it’s always on his terms. When he decides to curl up next to you for snuggles, it feels extra rewarding because you know he truly trusts you. He really can be incredibly sweet. Schreiner was rescued from a tree at Schreiner University after getting himself stuck high up near a building roof. After a bit of climbing and determination, he made his way home to Fort Worth, where he’s been loved ever since. He enjoys windowsills, cozy spots around the house, and a quieter environment where he can relax and feel secure. He does well with other calm cats and may also do fine with the right mellow dog after slow introductions, but overall I think he would be happiest in a quieter home without too much chaos or activity. Because he takes time to feel comfortable in new environments, he would do best with someone patient who understands that some cats just need a little extra time to settle in and build trust. Once he does, his goofy and loving personality really shines through. He should do best in a home with adults or older children. Born 4/15/2018 At Meowtown, we don’t have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family. They’re not waiting to become housecats… they already are. They just need a house. Story
Hope is about 8 years old and is a very gentle sweetheart. She loves her hiding spots but she also loves to receive affection when she is comfortable with you. Her adoption fee is $150 but we are willing to be flexible on that for the right adopter. She would do best in a calmer home, and she does prefer her animal companions to be respectful of her boundaries. If you have any questions or you would like to set up an appointment to meet with her, please contact Animal Hope.

Story
Milo was found abandoned outside a friends apartment complex. His early development was enjoyable, but recent changes to interactions with our child have made the living situation untenable. Milo can be affectionate (he offers kisses on the nose when held to ones face) but otherwise rejects petting. He will usually give us a warning bite to stop touching him if we pet him. This has made the family feel dejected and harmed our relationship with him. We believe he would benefit from having other cats as friends, but we cannot afford any new animals.

Story
My cat is a 2-year-old boy who was adopted from a shelter. He started life with an uncertain beginning, but once I brought him home, he quickly showed what a pretty and good cat he truly is. Since then, he’s become a loving, gentle companion who brightens my home every day.

Story
Tiffany is very playful, has been around a toddler and dog. She plays with both. She uses the pellet litter (really affordable) and she is not a picky eater! Right now she eats dry food but every once in a while we give her wet food. Her dob is July 18 2025. She gets her nails trimmed, and she was last given vaccines this past may.She can come with 2 litter boxes, a cat tower and her bowls if you would like.

Story
I got Stormie about 2 years ago. She was given to me by a good friend when she was a kitten. Unfortunately I am moving and my new landlord won’t allow me to bring her. Stormie is a great cat. She’s house trained, so you won’t have to worry about any accidents. She loves to play with her toys, she’s energetic, and she loves spending time on the balcony bird watching. Stormie tends to get along with dogs better than other cats. She hasn’t spent any time around kids, so I’m not sure how she’d do. She is friendly, so I think it would work. Stormie is shy at first and she may come off as feisty, but she is just scared. After she warms up she is super friendly and she enjoys spending time with people. One special thing about her is that she prefers her wet and dry food mixed together with a little water. She has no health issues.
