Story
I enjoy life in the slow lane, watching the birds and enjoying all the blankets and beds. While I am bunking with another mellow cat, I don’t really take well to other cats, especially if they hiss or are trying to create trouble. I love canned food and treats so make sure you got plenty of both. I can also get quite talkative, after all most of us have opinions on different topics. I do have a mass on my spine and was seen by a specialist but I’m not a candidate for surgery. I can still get around and have no problems getting up on the bench to sit on the window sill. I’m therefore available as a permanent foster or of course for adoption.

Name: Nixi KaiBreed: Red Point Siamese MixDOB: 2/3/2025Good with kids: YESGood with dogs: YESGood with cats: YESFoster location: Wisc Dells, WIAdoption fee: $100 Fun Bio: These babes will be ready for adoption when they are 8-10 weeks old. So we have some time, but follow their story! Get an application in, and be patient OR apply for one of our already kittens or cats! If interested in a pet from us please fill out the adoption application that is located on our website. We process applications in the order in which they are received. We will likely not respond to interest emails regarding puppies and/or kittens, we get so many "interest" emails that we simply do not have the time to respond to each one.   We always recommend playtime, positive reinforcement training and a regular schedule for feeding times when bringing a new cat/kitten into your home. Adjustment takes time for both you and your new family member, so remember to be patient and enjoy this new and exciting time! Included in the adoption fee are age appropriate vaccinations, FeLV/FIV testing, deworming, spay or neuter surgery, and microchip.   Anti-Declawing Policy: All cats and kittens will have a no declaw policy in their adoption contract with us!   Declawing is a series of bone amputations. Declawing is more accurately described by the term de-knuckling and is not merely the removal of the claws, as the term “declawing” implies. In humans, fingernails grow from the skin, but in animals that hunt prey, the claws grow from the bone; therefore, the last bone is amputates so the claw cannot re-grow. Declawing is one of the most painful, routinely performed procedures in all of veterinary medicine. Each toe of the cat is amputated at the first joint. Declawing a cat is equivalent in a person to amputating the entire first knuckle of every finger.   Declawing is done strictly for the benefit of the owner. There are NO benefits to the cat and NO good reasons to declaw.   Declawing can lead to behavior changes. A declawed cat has no way to defend itself and may resort to biting more often. Due to pain, they may stop using the litterbox.   There are humane alternatives to declawing. Cats can be trained to use scratching posts. They should have their nails trimmed regularly. There is double sided sticky tape that can be put on furniture to deter a cat from scratching there. There are also nail caps called Soft Paws that are glued onto a cat's nail without harm. ##2651348##

Story
Meet Panama – The Blue-Eyed Beauty Learning to Trust Again With her stunning Siamese-mix coat and those breathtaking blue eyes, Panama is a quiet little masterpiece. She carries herself gently, watching the world with quiet curiosity. This sweet girl has been through more than any cat should ever endure, but she survived and even though she starts of shy and reserved, she continues to show that survivor spirit through deep love of her foster mom (and anything soft)!  Panama will thrive in a calm home with loving humans who can give her the time she needs to adjust to new surroundings. She would do best as a solo cat, as she is not a fan of the resident cats in her foster home. She would do well with older and respectful, children who can understand her boundaries and move at her pace. When she first arrived at her foster home, she was very scared and needed to decompress alone in a quiet room. Now, after weeks of patience and kindness, she has made major breakthroughs and is beginning to show her true, loving personality. As Panama continues to show her survivor spirit, her sweetness shines through more each day. She enjoys pets from her foster mom and rewards kindness with a big, loud purr and the softest little head butts along with a cute high pitched squeaky meow. While she may make her discomfort known at first with a cautious hiss or growl, she is truly all bark and no bite — having never even tried to scratch or bite anyone. Once she has settled she enjoys a good lap snuggle (though she appreciates having the freedom to hop down when she chooses — a girl deserves her independence!). She loves lounging in warm patches of sunshine and exploring her surroundings, especially all the hidey spots under the furniture! Having spent most of her young life trying to survive, Panama has only recently begun to discover the joy of play — especially batting at a string toy with growing confidence. Every small step she takes feels like a victory. Panama is a very sweet girl who simply needs someone willing to see her potential and give her the time to blossom. We promise this special blue-eyed beauty will be worth the wait. Once she trusts you, her love is quiet, sincere, and incredibly meaningful. If you have a peaceful home and a patient heart, Panama is ready to slowly, bravely make it her forever home!  WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED TO A SCREENER.
