    Meet Skyler Faith, 8 pounds of pure, snuggly love wrapped up in a tiny senior package. This sweet girl came to us as an owner surrender when her previous family couldn’t give her the time she deserves. She’s ready for a forever home where she can soak up all the love and give it right back. Skyler Faith is a devoted cuddle bug, who is calm and non-destructive. She's alert, engaged, and still has plenty of pep in her step. She enjoys getting out for walks and is great in the car, making her a lovely balance of cozy companion and active little sidekick. Despite her small size, she’s not a barky or yappy pup, which makes her a calm and pleasant presence in the home.   She can be a bit shy when meeting new people at first, but she warms up quickly and soon becomes your loyal best friend. Once she trusts you, she’s happiest right by your side.   As a senior gal, Skyler Faith would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day and can provide frequent potty breaks. She is crate trained and generally does well, though she has had a couple of accidents in the first couple weeks in her foster home when left alone and was unsure of her new place. Since then, she has had no accidents. Medically, Skyler Faith has a heart murmur that is well managed with medication and dry eyes, both of which require medication twice daily. She takes her meds like a champ and is very cooperative with her care. My previous owner must have fed me all the time so I ate all the time and now I need to get my svelte figure back with your help. I enjoy walking around at rescue, so I’m not a couch potato. I was in awful condition when I was rescued. My ears had handful of fur in them and I was pretty matted all over. I get along with everyone at rescue. I stay clear of the rowdy ones, but if they want to sit with me I’m good with that. I’m a good girl. I want a family that will keep me safe and I’ll reward you with lots and lots of love.

• Rescue Story: Meet Tonki👋 In April 2025, a group of small dogs—believed to be victims of an illegal breeding operation—were found abandoned together on the streets of South Korea. Tonki was one of them. Now, he’s ready to leave his difficult past behind and begin a new chapter as a beloved member of a loving family. Having learned how to live happily with humans in his foster home, Tonki is patiently waiting for his forever home—where he’ll be cherished, protected, and loved the way he truly deserves. • Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Bright Tonki is a lovable, easygoing pup with a bright, happy energy. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves showing his humans just how much love he has to give! While he may need a little extra time to warm up to adult men, once he does, he becomes a loyal and devoted furry companion. • Affinity with - Dogs: Wonderful with other dogs! He’d do great as an only dog or as a second dog. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with people, including kids / Needs a bit more time to warm up to adult men. • House Training: Fully housebroken - using pee pads indoors and going potty outside. • Walking Manners: Super gentle on leash and loves going for walks! • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates both well. • Separation Anxiety: May howl briefly when first left alone, but once he settled, he relaxes and rests peacefully by himself. • Barks/Howls: Occasional barking when a male family member approaches suddenly. • Car Rides: Comfortable and calm • Appetite/Food Allergies: Big eater! / No food allergies found so far. • Likes/Dislikes: Likes to play with toys that make noise. / Not a fan of being lifted suddenly by a male family member • Shedding level (1~10): 1-2 • Health: Currently a healthy pup! Alloy is a deeply sweet guy who is working through some fear issues that typically have to do with being handled. He was adopted for a few weeks but ultimately needed to come back to PAWS because of these challenges. He finds fast movements, being picked up or having a harness put over his head pretty triggering. For this reason, Alloy will need an adult-only, low-stress home, where he can have some time and space to decompress. Our trainer has evaluated Alloy and feels he can do very well in the right home. She is willing to work with his adopters to provide the training and tips needed (at no charge) to help him successfully transition into his new home. Even with his challenges, Alloy is a loving dog and has tested well with other dogs.

    Lexie Gracie is gentle, genteel, and full of southern charm. This 11-year-old bichon came into rescue after her parent entered assisted living. All indications are that she lived a good life, and she hopes to continue the next phase of her life as a pampered pooch. Lexie Gracie is fully housebroken and walks very nicely on a leash. She enjoys her walks and meeting new friends, but she would also be content to simply have access to the backyard for potty time.  She will let you know when it’s time to go out, and will alert you to meal times too, should you forget.  Lexie does require daily medication for a heart issue, but it doesn’t impact her daily activity level, and she takes her medicine like a champ. Sweet as pie, Lexie Gracie wins hearts wherever she goes—even to the vet and groomer! She is a perfect companion and wants to be by your side.  She’s not a typical cuddle bug, but loves being in close range to her people, preferably touching at all times—whether on the sofa or your bed.  She will do best in a family where someone is home most of the time. Lexie Gracie will make her new family very happy – she can be a solo queen or go into a house with other calm dogs as long as they respect her wishes.
