Story
Ozzie is an independent, senior fella who is ready to find a home of his home. He can be a sensitive boy who takes time for his personality to shine. He can be nervous about being handled and picked up so he would benefit from a patient home where he can settle in at his own pace. Ozzie loves to go on sniffy walks and get lots of snacks. He seems to like other low key, social dogs and would likely enjoy a well matched canine companion.

Story
Courtesy Post - Miss DeeDee Fostered in CT. contact : saveadogger@gmail.com A super-cute little lady, only 3 yrs. Silky terrier mix. She is now taking applications for her new foster to adopt! She takes a minute to let her guard down due to her past of being left in a basement for months. But with cookies and patience, she will be your bestie, and will want to be with you all the time. But she doesn't mind her crate, if you have to go out to replenish her cookie, food, and bone stock. She will just bark a bit, then settle down, and wait for you. Energy -high. & high prey drive. * Fun and playful. Potty trained, yes. Although she is perfectly happy sitting next to you watching tv, or outside watching birds, trees. She is an escape artist* NO off leash, always on harness or fenced yard., so she needs someone with little dog experience who understands her quirks about her past. She does not like her bones trying to be taken from her. she has to agree to be picked up, or it won't workout. and she does not like the vet (vet ptsd), needs meds before getting her nails cut, or vet visit. She is UTD rabies, and has had her others previously. She is not ok with other dogs or pets she is too scared ,(although is ok walking by other dogs who are calm, she typically will bark), and no kids due to her past. She just wants to be the only fur-child. And after what she has been through , can. you blame her? So if you're looking for a BFF to hang with, work from home assistant, or perfect retirement friend, She's your girl. contact : saveadogger@gmail.com

Story
Meet Rocky: Part Shih Tzu, Part Pogo Stick, Part Adventure Enthusiast Rocky is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu mix weighing about 12 pounds, and the best word to describe him is exuberant. This little guy approaches life with maximum enthusiasm, whether he's exploring the outdoors, greeting his favorite people, or attempting to launch himself into your arms for kisses. Rocky can jump an impressive 4–5 feet straight into the air. NBA scouts, take note! Rocky is an absolute lovebug who will happily flop over for belly rubs and soak up all the affection you can give. He also loves exploring and sniffing absolutely everything. A walk with Rocky isn't just a walk—it's an investigative mission. He would thrive with an active family that can provide daily walks, adventures, and plenty of opportunities to burn off his energy. Like many dogs, Rocky has two speeds. One minute he's a total ham, happily lounging in his crate or rolling over for belly rubs. The next, he's a full-blown Tasmanian devil, ready to zoom, bounce, and investigate the world at top speed. When he's in adventure mode, Rocky has a very strong prey drive, so he should not be left unattended outside, even in a securely fenced yard. Because of this, he is not a good fit for a home with cats or other small animals that he may be tempted to chase. Rocky has been a wonderful houseguest in foster care. He's happy to relax in his crate, appears to be crate trained, and does well when kept on a consistent routine, though he'll likely need continued guidance with housetraining. He'd also benefit from walking in a harness, as his excitement sometimes leads to enthusiastic leaps to the end of the leash. Toys haven't made much of an impression on Rocky, but he does have one prized possession—a beloved teddy bear that he faithfully sleeps with every night. It's almost too adorable for words. He's also a perfect gentleman at mealtime, patiently waiting by his bowl and taking treats with impeccable manners. Rocky can be a bit vocal, especially when people are coming and going or when it's almost mealtime. Because of his occasional barking, he may not be the best match for apartment or shared-wall living. Rocky has shown interest in other dogs and has the confident personality often seen in Shih Tzus. He would do best with experienced adopters who can provide thoughtful introductions to resident dogs. Because of his athleticism, enthusiasm, and joyful jumping, a home with older, dog-savvy children (7+) would be the best fit. If you're looking for a sweet, hilarious, energetic companion who will keep you laughing, keep you active, and fill your days with affection and adventure, Rocky is ready to bounce—literally—right into your heart.💙🐾 If you are interested in finding out more about Rocky, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Rocky is being fostered in Whitinsville, MA. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Milo Too 🐾Milo Too is a 6-year-old, 20-pound Schnauzer/Shih Tzu mix who is adjusting to life in foster care after a major life change. .Milo has a moderate energy level and enjoys exploring a fenced yard and playing with squeaky toys. He is house-trained and does well in an exercise pen when unsupervised, as he is not a fan of crates.Milo lived with a retired couple and had limited exposure to children. He currently lives with small dogs but prefers human attention and may do best as an only dog. He also has a typical Schnauzer prey drive, so a cat-free home is recommended.Milo can be reactive to new people and activity, often barking at delivery people and becoming anxious on walks. He will need a patient adopter committed to helping him build confidence and improve leash manners through training.Ideal home: A quiet, suburban or rural home with a fenced yard and a calm, consistent routine.Milo is a sensitive, loyal companion who needs time, patience, and love to shine truly. 💛If you are interested in finding out more about Milo Too, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser:https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/DogMilo Too is being fostered in Central MassThe adoption fee is $500Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!.Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram!Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.
