OB 5-12-2019 Elias is a retired puppy mill worker, he was stuck in a cage for 5 years of his life from the time he was born. When he came he was so thin, his teeth were totally rotten and he couldn't eat. Well that was his old life, not his new life! Elias has been neutered, all teeth had to be removed, he was heartworm negative and is now on ProHeart6, up to date on all shots and has become a little on the porky side! Elias would love to have his own home now, something he never had hopes of is a reality for him now. Elias is crate trained, gets along with other little dogs, would love to be loved by someone who knew how special he is. Elias's adoption fee is 500.00, this transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, the only one we use for our kids! The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. DOB 6-11-2025 This gorgeous little boy named Natan is a sweetheart. He is a little shy, gets along with other little dogs, loves to play and is social. Natan is up to date on shots and a healthy boy! Natan's adoption fee is 900.00 and his transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, they run every other week to their stops on the East Coast. MEET FLUFF!Get ready for 7lbs of marshmallowy sweet, sugary perfection! Fluff is a special little creature brought to us from Boston Animal Control after being found as a stray. She has spent several weeks in foster healing up and is now ready to find her new home. As versatile as her namesake, we think Fluff will fit in just about anywhere. She can take some time to warm up to people and other dogs but has made so many friends here at ARL! Upon examination, Fluff was found to have a mammary mass that was removed by our vet team at the time of spay. Mammary masses are common in unspayed adult female dogs. This patient`s mammary tumor was removed and submitted for biopsy, which came back as a malignant (cancerous) tumor. Chest x-rays were completed, which did not show any signs of metastatic disease at this time. Since this patient was spayed later in life, it is possible the additional mammary tumors may appear, the tumor may reoccur locally or that metastatic disease may become apparent as this patient ages. Please speak with a member of our adoption team to learn more.My friends describe me as: Affectionate, Communicative, FriendlyFluff is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.For more information on Fluff or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. After the sad passing of her beloved owner, Shirley is looking for a gentle home where she can feel safe and cherished again.Though her vision and hearing are limited, Shirley’s happiness most certainly is not. She greets the world with joy, a wagging tail, and a deep love for her little pleasures - her treats. Shirley’s is a smart little lady with an excellent sense of smell, enjoys her walks, and truly lights up during enrichment time.Shirley recently had a dental surgery at WARL thanks to our dedicated veterinary team, and she’s feeling so much better. She loves being picked up and cuddled, has done well around cats, and doesn’t seem to mind other dogs of her size..This gentle angel is simply searching for a soft place to land—a home filled with kindness, cozy naps, and people who will treasure her golden years.If you are interested in adopting Shirley, please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm.
