Story
Jenny is a petite 5.5 yr old Shih Tzu, weighing about 11 lbs. She is pretty timid and still getting used to her foster home. She will need a very patient and loving home, and will be a great pet and lap dog when she settles in. She has beautiful coloring and would love a family to call her own. She is good with other dogs, and would benefit from having a confident canine companion in her forever home. She is waiting in Severance.

Story
OMG Who wants to adopt the biggest cuddler in the world???? Check out the video of him sound asleep in the rocking chair with his foster mom. Eddie is guessed to be a 1-3 year old Shih Tzu.  He is a spunky little guy who is learning what it means to be loved by humans.  He is unbelievably cuddly once he trusts his people.  He is absolutely adorable and his eyes will melt your heart! Eddie loves, loves, loves to be rocked in a rocking chair while you massage his tummy and paws.  When he first got to his foster moms house his hair on his face was so matted that he couldn't see a thing.  He growled at her continuously because he was afraid due to not being able to see.  Once she trimmed his eyes he became the happiest, cuddliest little guy on the planet.  He is so happy to be in a home and can't wait to be held by his humans.  It takes a bit for him to warm up to a new person but then he's all yours!!  Cuddle Cuddle Cuddle!! Eddie is a heavy little dude, weighing in at 19 lbs which is kind of big for a traditional lap dog but he REALLY wants to be held and snuggled.  Eddie is learning to love his kennel and is now sleeping through the night and naps in it during the day.   We still encourage him to go in with something yummy to eat and then he goes right in.   This handsome boy is waiting patiently to find his FurEver Family and is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes and rehabilitates dogs.  He came to her because he was growling at the rescue but we found out later that it was due to him not being able to see with the matted hair in his eyes.   His foster mom has an amazing rehabilitation protocol to help these precious dogs and is working with all the dogs in her care on potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, kennel training, doggie door training and if time permits, leash and car training.   Eddie does not seem to like wearing a collar so if you have a fenced yard it would be best for him.  It's hard to walk a dog that doesn't like to wear a collar but you could easily try to put a harness on him and teach him to walk in the house first.  His foster mom can help teach you how to do that.   There are lots of other dogs at his foster mom's house so we know he is dog friendly. His foster doesn't have any cats but thinks he would be fine with them if introduced slowly and properly.   We also think he would be fine with older / calm children.   Please consider this adorable dog as a part of your family. He deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. His foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter, who is willing to do a minimum of one paid (discounted) training session with her. This training session is NOT basic obedience, but instead, is designed for rescue dogs and teaches the adopter how to work to build the dogs confidence and overcome any trauma the dog may have experienced.  This training is to teach the adopter how to help the dog be successful in their new home and will help the family and this sweet dog bond and adjust to their new life together. The foster provides a discount on training to her adopters. Please apply for Eddie today!!

Story
Falcore, otherwise known as Frank, is a young Lhasa Apso Poodle mix from California. He weighs about 13 lbs and is low to no shedding. He is overcoming some scared feelings, but is doing great at his foster home. He is already crate trained, neutered and microchipped. He does ok with other small dogs and would do best in a home without children or with older children. He loves tummy scratches and going for walks. He would make a great companion for a family who can be patient and gentle with him.
