Gnocchi is a 2 year old, 22 lb skye terrier who is learning to love the good life! She has recently learned that she LOVES hanging out on the bed or couch and will do it all day if you let her. She also enjoys following her person around begging for treats and hoping for food. Gnocchi loves to get attention and get good scratches behind her ears. She is shy at first, but once she comes around she's such a silly little dog. She has a great personality and will constantly bring a smile to your face. Gnocchi would love a chill household with no small children. She is not comfortable on a leash and therefore REQUIRES a fenced in yard. Gnocchi has been housetrained in her foster home, but as with any dog, might have an adjustment period moving into a new house and will need patience to learn your expectations. Gnocchi is great in a crate but is not destructive if left outside of one. Gnocchi is cat and dog friendly. While we do not require previous breed experience, please research the breed as they are not typical terriers. To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $500, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.

McGuinness was found as a stray and hit the jackpot when he safely made his way to rescue. This wispy wooly fluff ball may or may not have any dachshund lineage - who can tell under all that floof?!? Whatever breed he is, this boy is one fabulous dog. He is friendly and doing well with house training (not 100% yet), but please give him a moment to settle in as he can be nervous in new environments. He enjoys walks in peaceful parks but is not a fan of loud noises and cars speeding past. He likes to go and can be an escape artist zipping right past you at the door. Because of this, a fence is a must. He is fine with other calm small dogs but also would be good as a solo canine cause he loves his people. He is not a fan of being left alone so someone who has time to share would be the best. Another element he is NOT a fan of his crate. He hates it! He would say he loathes it. Tee hee. This is something we are continuing to work on slowly with him, but also keeping him calm and happy is a priority for us as well. He does love to spend the day at doggie day care hanging out with his canine gang. McGuinness is looking for: •home with a fence •can be companion for other small dog or solo canine in the home •person who is always up for cuddles •patient person who spends time at home with time to help Mr MG feel comfortable being left alone If you are interested in adopting McGuinness, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to our online adoption application. McGuinness's adoption fee is $500. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. McGuinness will go to his / her new home microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed. Almost every dog's veterinary expenses exceed our adoption fees; we are a non-profit. DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Walter - ID# 21892 - Kennel #324 - Arrived August 19th - Terrier Mix - Grey and White - Male - 6 Years Old - 20.25 lbs - Neutered - Up to Date on Vaccines - Heartworm Negative Walter is very cute and sweet, with a shaggy grey and white coat and a soft, curly texture that gives him the look of a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix though the shelter has him listed as a terrier mix. His scruffy, endearing face and gentle eyes give him an instantly likable presence. He arrived at Cobb Animal Services on August 19th, and at 6 years old, this good-looking guy is a settled, mature dog with plenty of charm still to offer. Walter sits nicely for his treats, showing off a sweet, cooperative nature and a real eagerness to please. That combination of good looks and good manners makes him easy to fall for, and with his adorable appearance and easygoing personality, he seems like the kind of dog who will be grabbed up quickly once the right adopter meets him. At 6 years old, Walter is well past the unpredictability of puppyhood, offering adopters a clear sense of the sweet, settled companion they would be bringing home, along with plenty of good years still ahead of him to share with a family who appreciates him. Walter is waiting in Kennel #324 with that shaggy grey and white coat and sweet personality, ready for the home and the family who will give him the loving future he deserves.
