Ribsy DOB: November 2024 Breed: Fox Terrier mix, Smooth CHARACTERISTICS Affectionate, friendly, funny, athletic, playful, smart, loyal, curious, loving, happy. HEALTH Vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm preventative, flea and tick preventative, neutered GOOD IN A HOME WITH Kids, adults, other dogs COAT LENGTH short, smooth KENNEL TRAINED SIZE large All Ribsy wants is to be loved. He came to rescue very thin (hence his name) and a tattered, ripped ear. He has seen unkindness but that's in his rear view mirror now. He's very submissive and wants to be close to his person, touching if possible. Hes sweet with everyone while also learning to keep his paws off people unless he's invited. He may accidentally knock down smaller kids until he learns. He's a smart boy and knows Sit, which can morph into Lie down, and Army Crawl until he can put his paw on your foot.  Ribsy has EXCELLENT recall, partly because he wants to be near you on outdoor adventures.  He is higher energy so he requires a fwnced yard. Ragnar and Becket are two senior smooth fox terriers looking for soft places to land for their golden years. They do not need to be adopted together and would each be happy to find a loving retirement home of their own, bit would love to stay together. Both boys are very friendly with people and enjoy being close to their humans. At night, they are content sleeping in dog beds next to the bed. They are still true to their terrier breed, with plenty of personality, curiosity, and opinions, but their older age has mellowed them out compared with younger fox terriers. They would do well with someone who understands terriers or is willing to learn about their spirited, intelligent nature. However, more than anything, Ragnar and Becket need comfortable beds, companionship, and families who will give them the safe and loving retirement they deserve. Because they are both over 10 years old, their adoption fees are waived through our Seniors for Seniors program for adopters age 63 or older. Welcome Monica to CCPAL Rescue. Monica is a 2 year old Flat Coated Fox Terrier/Italian Greyhound is our best guess. She is a mix of breeds we are sure. She weighs about 15 pounds. She was found on the street big and pregnant. Her pups all look very different. Some are fluffy and some are not. She is a wonderful dog. She doesn’t jump up, is good with other dogs, good in a crate and good on a leash. She is also nice in her kennel and was the very best and most attentive momma. She isn’t very vocal which is wonderful and would make an easy dog to bring into some family. She has weaned her pups and will be spayed soon and ready for her very own forever home. She does her business outside on a leash and she is just the most wonderful dog. Some dogs are easy in Rescue and she is one of those dogs. She is in Texas with the CCPAL Rescue. She would be a great walking or jogging companion due to her long legs. She is a moderate to low shedding dog. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
