What my friends at OHS say about me:To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.Fearful Behavior: I can be worried about new people or new surroundings. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to go home to a calm environment. I'm a sensitive boy who needs a little time to get to know new people but once I do, I can't seem to get enough affection. Cheek and chin scratches are my favorite. I really like it when people talk calmly to me and tell me I'm brave, it really helps with my confidence. I love playing with toys and will track, chase and pounce on feather toys as my friends soar them through the air. I enjoy the company of other cats and would love to have a kitty friend in my new home. Did I hear you have treats? Temptations are my favorite. I just know we're going to be friends if you offer me some. I guess you could say I'm pretty "down-to-earth" - I like my feet on the floor! I can be sensitive to being picked up and held. The type of home I'm looking for: I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I need to go to a home where there is another cat to help boost my confidence. I need to go to a home without small children. It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process. You can also stock up on food and treats using our online store by clicking here. Story
Poppy is a beautiful 10 year old snowshoe. She is very affectionate, likes to head bunt her favorite humans but can be spicy too. She has a history of litter box accidents when she has stress in her life. She has been use to a quiet, two adult home. She will potty outside the litter box if we are gone for more than a couple days even with family coming in to care for her. We will be in and out of town end of December for possibly lengthy times taking care of a family member post surgery and recovery. She eats special kibble to keep her healthy (Purina one urinary health). We need to find a new home for her within a week or two.

Story
Poppy is a beautiful 10 year old snowshoe. She is very affectionate but can be ornery too. She purrs loud and will head bunt her favorite people. She eats Purina One Urinary health kibble to keep her healthy. She has pooped outside of litter box when she is upset. For example when a family members dog has stayed with us or we leave for more than a couple days. We need to rehome her as soon as possible because we will be out of town often for long periods in the near future.
