This handsome Snowshoe boy has striking blue eyes, an adorable cross-eyed gaze, and a story of resilience. Cotton was found injured outdoors with severe damage to his tail that ultimately required a partial tail amputation. Thankfully, he's healed beautifully and is doing great! Cotton is a very nice cat, but he's still figuring out this whole indoor-cat thing. After spending much of his life outdoors, his social skills can be a little... awkward. He loves attention and wants to interact with his people, but sometimes gets so excited that he may give a gentle nip to ask for more pets or engagement. It's never aggressive or mean-spirited—Cotton is just a little socially awkward and still learning better ways to communicate. Because of this, Cotton is looking for an experienced, patient adopter who understands that building trust and confidence takes time. The more comfortable he becomes, the more his sweet personality shines through. Cotton does well with polite, respectful cats who don't invade his space. Older children who can understand and respect his boundaries may be a good fit. We aren't sure how he feels about dogs. What Cotton needs most is a calm home, patient guidance, and someone willing to let him settle in at his own pace.
