Story
BEAUTIFUL NEUTERED MALE SAINT BERNARD (fully vetted/neutered - URGENT URGENT NEED FOR AN AMAZINGLY LOVING FOREVER HOME THAT UNDERSTANDS STUBBORN SAINTS AND HAS THE TIME AND EXPERIENCE TO ADOPT THIS WONDERFUL HEALTHY BOY. LOCATION: SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS - BUT FOSTER CAN DRIVE ABOUT 3 1/2 HOURS TOWARD YOU. DUKE (whose original name was Achilles) was born on December 2, 2022, in upstate Pennsylvania. Only call or text me at 610-787-2353. Please do not comment below if interested. I will NOT see your comments or questions if you post them below. DUKE is 3 1/2 years old, UTD and Neutered. He is Free to a loving qualified home that can handle his puppy-like playfulness and energy. I was asked to help find him a forever home. I have not met this giant Teddy Bear. He is currently being fostered in Massachusetts by a woman who wanted to see over the Summer if she could handle him with her schedule and some physical issues that has prevented her from being able to truly keep him. Please DO NOT COMMENT BELOW IF INTERESTED. We will not see your comments and hate to miss you. ONLY CALL/TEXT DAWN AT 610-787-2353 or email us to send you an adoption application (which is required) FROM FOSTER WHO HAS HAD HIM FOR A FEW MONTHS: Duke is very smart, playful, and at 3½ years old, still has plenty of puppy energy! At 148 pounds, he is a big, strong boy who needs someone confident handling a large dog. Duke loves attention and being pet—belly and chest rubs are his favorite! He would love someone who can give him plenty of walks, outdoor time, and exercise. I bet he’d love to go swimming, too! His forever home should have adults who can confidently set boundaries when needed, but also give him lots of love, attention, and outdoor time. He really is a sweet and playful dog who just needs the right home. FROM PREVIOUS OWNER (that had him since he was 8 weeks old): The family I got him from is absolutely lovely and has raised more than 43 Saint Bernards. With the recent addition of their fifth child, they are taking a short break from breeding at the moment. Please DO NOT COMMENT BELOW IF INTERESTED. We will not see your comments and hate to miss you. ONLY CALL/TEXT DAWN AT 610-787-2353 or email us to send you an adoption application (which is required) As a single mother of three children (ages 14, 13, and 9) while building my own business, I have made the difficult decision that it is in Achilles’ best interest to be placed with a loving family able to give him the time, consistency, and attention he deserves. This decision truly breaks my heart, but my priority is ensuring he has the happiest and most stable home possible. Achilles is incredibly affectionate, loyal, and gentle. He genuinely thinks he is a teacup Yorkie, and his companionship is something special. He gets along very well with his animal siblings (Exotic Shorthair Cat "Apollo" and White Bellied Caique parrot "Ares") and they are in true form the three musketeers. No children under 14 years of age. Those younger may not respect his space or listen to parents saying "leave him alone; he is sleeping/resting etc." He has bitten the son - age 9. He is trained, excellent on a leash, wonderful with people and other dogs, and has been an amazing part of our family. We are hoping to find a home that will give him the same love and warmth he has always known. Had a nip/bit incident with the 9 year old son and the foster. Was even with Animal control for 10 days and was a sweet loving peach. He was there due to his rabies shot wasnt up to date but it is now.
