Story
A Fluffy Best Friend Ready to Steal Your Heart! 🐾 Say hello to this beautiful St. Bernard / Great Pyrenees mix girl who’s equal parts sweet, playful, and full of love. With her soft fluffy coat and gentle personality, she’s the kind of pup who will quickly become the heart of the home. She’s a curious little explorer who loves discovering new things, but she’s just as happy curling up next to you for a cozy cuddle. Her personality is loving, playful, and easygoing, making her a wonderful companion for families or anyone looking for a loyal furry friend. This sweet girl is great with kids and other dogs, and she’s already paper trained, so she’s off to a fantastic start learning her puppy manners. Whether she’s bouncing around with a toy, investigating the backyard, or leaning in for affection, she brings joy, warmth, and plenty of puppy snuggles wherever she goes. If you’re looking for a gentle, playful pup who will grow into a loyal lifelong companion, she can’t wait to meet you! Caitlin is estimated to be 10 weeks old and 12 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. Story
Meet Cassie! The Brave & Dainty Trailblazer. With her dainty face and signature curly tail, Cassie may be the smaller of the two sisters, but don’t let her size fool you—she is a fearless explorer. Cassie is the "first mate" of the duo, always the first to venture into a new room, the first out of the kennel to investigate, and even the first to tackle the stairs while her sister waits for the "all clear." Cassie is a beautiful St. Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix who is as curious as she is sweet. She is a bit more refined than your typical puppy; she prefers to approach you on her own terms for a visit rather than being approached. Once she’s by your side, she loves to stay in contact, often curling up next to you to make sure she’s touching you while she naps out in the open. She has that classic breed "voice" and will let you know when she’s excited! Watch out for her signature "stare down"—it’s her favorite way to initiate a pounce on her sister. Cassie is a gentle nibbler and a slow eater who appreciates a calm environment but is always ready for her next big adventure. Note for her forever family: While Cassie is currently smaller than her sister, she will still be a large dog! Be ready for the shedding, drool, and space needs that come with the territory of these giant breeds. A securely fenced-in yard is highly recommended to keep these natural patrollers safe. These pups are in a heavy teething phase and require a wide variety of sturdy toys to redirect their puppy teeth. If you have room in your heart (and your house) for a loyal, adventurous, and occasionally clumsy companion, Cassie is ready to meet you! Cassie is estimated to be 9 weeks old and 10 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Story
Meet Cal. Cal is a chill little fluff ball with a big-dog heart, thought to be a Great Pyrenees / Saint Bernard mix. He sleeps like a champ in his crate alongside his sister and has already figured out that bedtime is for snoozing, not shenanigans. In his foster home, Cal is a total hit with the young kids. He loves playtime with the kids, happily soaking up attention and affection. This sweet boy is already picking up on basic commands and actually enjoys training—he’s eager to learn and loves making his people proud. Cal’s favorite things include being held, exploring the fenced yard at his foster home, and generally being where the action (and the people) are. And bonus: he bears a striking resemblance to Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy—so yes, you may be adopting a tiny, fluffy superhero sidekick. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate puppy who’s great with kids and ready to grow into a loyal, gentle giant, Cal just might be your pup! Cal is estimated to be 9 weeks old and 11 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🤎🐾 Meet Joy — 80 Pounds of Fluff, Love & Classic Bernese Goofiness 🐾🤎 6 Years Old • 80 lbs • Bernese Mountain Dog If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a real-life teddy bear who occasionally trips over her own feet… Joy is your girl. At 6 years old and 80 pounds, Joy is everything people adore about Bernese Mountain Dogs — sweet, gentle, loyal, and just the right amount of goofy. She has that classic “Berner heart” that leans into you for pets, follows you from room to room, and looks at you like you personally invented sunshine. Joy is calm and affectionate, but don’t let that fool you — she absolutely has her silly moments. The famous “Bernese bounce” makes regular appearances, usually when she’s excited to see you or when she remembers she has legs and should use them. She’s wonderful with other dogs and friendly with everyone she meets. Truly, she’s a social butterfly wrapped in 80 pounds of fluff. And let’s talk about her love language: brushing. Spa day? Best day. Brushing session? Yes please. Extra brushing session? Also yes. She will happily stand (or lean dramatically) while you brush her and tell her how beautiful she is. She agrees, by the way. Because of her size and joyful enthusiasm, we’d recommend a home without very little kids. She would never mean to, but during one of her happy-go-lucky moments she could accidentally knock over a tiny human. Older kids who understand “big fluffy dog incoming!” would be just fine. Joy’s Highlights: • 6 years old — past the puppy chaos, fully into the sweet spot • 80 lbs of fluffy devotion • Typical gentle, loving Bernese personality • Good with other dogs • Friendly with people • Professional-level brushing enthusiast • Goofy in the most endearing way If you’re looking for a big, beautiful best friend who will warm your feet, fill your home with love, and occasionally make you laugh with her adorable clumsiness, Joy is ready to bring exactly what her name promises — pure joy. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let this fluffy sweetheart start her forever chapter with you. 🐾🤎

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  JoJo is a gentle 4-year-old Bernedoodle with a heart full of love just waiting to be discovered. She came to Underdog as a breeder surrender and is still learning how big and wonderful the world can be. While she has some nervous energy and takes time to trust new people, and men especially, once she feels safe, she blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion. When Jojo came, she did have allergies and chewed her feet a lot.  We have kept her allergies at bay by feeding her Carna4 brand dog food.  That, a raw food diet, or a cooked whole food diet should be committed to be continued to keep her in optimum health. This sweet girl is potty trained, is good on a leash and loves her daily walks, comes when called, and is eager to learn with plenty of positive encouragement. JoJo would thrive in a calm, patient home with an assertive dog to show her the ropes and help build her confidence. She loves to play and has never met a dog that she instantly considers a new friend.  She would be happiest in a home with a dog 40+ pounds with whom she can race and play.  She is not the kind of pup who will rush into your arms right away, but with love, consistency, and kindness, she will reward you with a bond that runs deep.she binds closest with women, and while she does not need a fenced in yard, she must be leashed at all times. She does have an easier time adjusting to women versus men.  If you have the heart to offer JoJo the patience she needs, she’ll return it with unwavering love and the joy of watching her grow into her best self. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses.  Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.  Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a    particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Ple ase use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
