Story
Meet Clara — your future best friend wrapped in a cloud of fluff! Clara is as soft as she is adorable. This sweet girl loves being part of the action and absolutely thrives in a home where she can spend time with her people. In her foster home, she’s become best buddies with the kids and is always ready for playtime, whether that’s romping around or proudly showing off her latest toy. Clara is also very focused during training sessions and is already doing great with potty training and other basic commands. Smart, attentive, and eager to please? Yes, please. She’s perfectly happy hanging out as your home office assistant, quietly chewing on a toy while you work. Clara is likely to grow into a big, beautiful girl with an even bigger heart. And we have to mention her signature look: one ear that sometimes pops up in the cutest, most irresistible way — it’s impossible not to fall in love. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, fluffy companion who will keep you smiling, Clara might just be your perfect match. Clara is currently being monitored by a neurologist for a suspected movement condition called paroxysmal dyskinesia. From time to time, she may have brief episodes where she has trouble walking, but they are short-lived (typically under two minutes), and she returns right back to her normal self with no lasting effects. The good news is that these episodes are being managed with medication, and Clara is doing very well! She’s a happy, thriving pup who doesn’t let this slow her down. If you’re interested in adopting Clara, please apply on our website. We’d be happy to share more details and answer any questions about her care. Clara is estimated to be 3.5 months old and 18 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. If you are interested in a specific animal, please check our Facebook page for confirmed attendance the morning of the event: https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/ You do not need to have a Facebook account to check the Safe Hands Facebook page for attendance. Story
Caitlin is a big, fluffy bundle of affection who’s ready to fill her forever home with love and laughter. This sweet girl is a total cuddle bug — she wants to be right next to you! She has a gentle, patient personality and a goofy charm. She keeps us smiling! Caitlin is friendly, funny, affectionate, and good with other dogs. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, however she is curious and cautious so she will easily make friends I’m sure. This smart girl is almost house trained. She is crate trained at night and will gladly play or take a nap in her x-pen during the day. She loves learning about toys and crawls right up into laps for a long snuggle. She is a puppy who thrives on human connection and routine. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who brings softness, silliness, and sweetness in equal measure, Caitlin just might be your perfect match! Story
Atlas is your classic big, lovable Saint Bernard with a whole lot of personality to match his size. He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who’s been through a big life change after losing his owner, and he’s ready for a fresh start with a family who will help him settle in and thrive. He’s doing well with crate training and is house trained once he gets into a consistent routine. Atlas rides great in the car and truly enjoys getting out and experiencing the world. He hasn’t had many adventures yet, so everything is still new and exciting, which means he can get overstimulated and forget his manners at times. Atlas knows how to sit, especially when he’s calm, but like most young giant breeds, he doesn’t fully understand just how big he is. He’s strong, enthusiastic, and can be a bit barky and “talkative” when something exciting is happening. He also fully embraces the Saint Bernard lifestyle, meaning yes, he is a messy eater and drinker. He would do best with an owner who understands large breeds and is committed to continuing his training, especially around impulse control and basic manners. He has a lot of energy and absolutely loves being outside, so regular exercise and structure will go a long way. Atlas is a really good dog at his core. He just needs someone willing to meet him where he’s at, give him guidance, and help him grow into the amazing companion he’s meant to be. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
Cleo is a big, beautiful Saint Bernard who is still very much learning how to exist in the world around her. After losing her owner, her life was completely turned upside down, and she’s now looking for a home that can give her structure, patience, and guidance as she settles in. Cleo is very sweet with people and loves attention, but she is also extremely excitable and does not yet understand her size. She will need an adopter who is comfortable handling a large, strong dog and is committed to working on basic manners and impulse control. She has done well with her brother Atlas, but interactions with other dogs have been inconsistent. Cleo can be sassy and has not done well in limited introductions to new dogs, so she will require slow, structured introductions and continued socialization. Because of this, she may do best as the only dog or with a very experienced home willing to put in the work. She is adjusting well to crate training and does well in the car. Like Atlas, she hasn’t had many life experiences yet, so everything is exciting and sometimes overwhelming. She has a lot of energy and absolutely loves time outside. Cleo will need a committed, experienced adopter willing to provide training, consistency, and leadership. No cats or small animals. Dog-savvy home preferred. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org
