Story
Meet Cassie! With her dainty face and signature curly tail. She is a fearless explorer, always the first to venture into a new room, investigate the kennel exit, or tackle the stairs while her sister waits for the "all clear." Cassie is a beautiful St. Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix who is as brilliant as she is sweet. She is already proving to be a star student; she’s very food-motivated and has quickly learned to "come" when called—partly because she loves a tasty treat, but mostly because she never wants to be too far from her humans. She is at her happiest when she is being held like a baby and showered with pets (though her future family should enjoy this now while she still fits in their arms!). When it comes to play, instead of typical puppy nipping, she gives the most adorable little "nibbles" and nuzzles. She is an expert at finding a toy to carry around, using it to entice her sister into a game of chase! While she is brave with new spaces, she is submissive and polite when meeting new dogs. She has enjoyed playing with our 50lb resident dog, though she prefers a gentle pace over high-speed zoomies. Once playtime is over, Cassie loves to stay in contact, often curling up right next to you to make sure she’s touching you while she naps. If you’re looking for a smart, adventurous, and deeply affectionate companion, Cassie is ready for her next big adventure with you. Note for her forever family: While Cassie is currently the "little" sister, she will still be a very large dog! Be ready for the shedding, drool, and space needs that come with the territory of these giant breeds. A securely fenced-in yard is highly recommended to keep these natural patrollers safe. Cassie is in a heavy teething phase and requires a wide variety of sturdy toys to redirect her curiosity. If you have room in your heart (and your house) for a loyal, adventurous, and tender-hearted giant, Cassie is ready to meet you! Cassie is estimated to be 11 weeks old and 12 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. Story
Hi, my name is Bogey and I am from Oklahoma! If you’re looking for a goofy, lovable pup who will make you laugh every day and snuggle up at night, Bogey might just be your perfect match, he’s the kind of dog who quickly steals hearts with his playful personality and loving cuddles. He's a goofy guy with nice springs in his legs, so he's tried to jump over the fence a few times, and thinks it is very funny. Bogey is a friendly, happy boy who loves to play, cuddle, and carry around his toys. Like many young pups, he’s still learning the ropes and often looks to his foster brother and sister for guidance. He loves playing with them and would likely do great in a home with another dog since he enjoys companionship. Bogey isn’t a big fan of being closed in his crate yet and can get a little anxious, but he will go into his crate on his own and often chooses to relax there during the day and at night. He also does very well sleeping outside the crate and will happily curl up wherever he finds a cozy spot. He has been left alone for short periods and has done well, but like any curious puppy, he may explore if things are left within reach, slippers seem to be a favorite! Keeping tempting items put away will help him succeed. With his sweet, playful personality, Bogey will make a wonderful companion for a family ready to give him love, guidance, and plenty of playtime.

These pups are in Minneapolis, Minnesota too!

Story
This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 121 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up to date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence, and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He also has an obsession with deer! For that reason, a privacy fence would be ideal if you have deer around your home. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides". Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! If you would like to be Charlie’s forever family, please email dogs4mylife@ gmail.com or olmc7@ hotmail.com. If you are inquiring from a Gmail address. It is best to use our Gmail address, or you might have to look for us in your spam.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  JoJo is a gentle 4-year-old Bernedoodle with a heart full of love just waiting to be discovered. She came to Underdog as a breeder surrender and is still learning how big and wonderful the world can be. While she has some nervous energy and takes time to trust new people, and men especially, once she feels safe, she blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion. When Jojo came, she did have allergies and chewed her feet a lot.  We have kept her allergies at bay by feeding her Carna4 brand dog food.  That, a raw food diet, or a cooked whole food diet should be committed to be continued to keep her in optimum health. This sweet girl is potty trained, is good on a leash and loves her daily walks, comes when called, and is eager to learn with plenty of positive encouragement. JoJo would thrive in a calm, patient home with an assertive dog to show her the ropes and help build her confidence. She loves to play and has never met a dog that she instantly considers a new friend.  She would be happiest in a home with a dog 40+ pounds with whom she can race and play.  She is not the kind of pup who will rush into your arms right away, but with love, consistency, and kindness, she will reward you with a bond that runs deep.she binds closest with women, and while she does not need a fenced in yard, she must be leashed at all times. She does have an easier time adjusting to women versus men.  If you have the heart to offer JoJo the patience she needs, she’ll return it with unwavering love and the joy of watching her grow into her best self. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses.  Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.  Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a    particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Ple ase use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Meet Presley! Presley is a big, lovable Poodle/Bernese mix with an even bigger heart. Expected to grow into an extra-large dog, Presley is the kind of pup who brings both fun and affection wherever he goes. At home, Presley is a world-class cuddler. He absolutely loves being near his people and will happily lean in for scratches and attention. Whether he’s snuggled up next to someone on the couch or resting nearby while his family relaxes, Presley thrives on companionship and being part of the action. He also has a playful and goofy side. Presley loves toys of all kinds, but balls are definitely his favorite. A game of fetch or tug with a sturdy rope toy will always get his tail wagging. He enjoys playing with other dogs too and gets along very well with both canine friends and people he meets. Presley has a moderate energy level, which means he enjoys playtime and exercise but also appreciates downtime. After a good game or walk, he’s perfectly content lounging with his humans and soaking up affection. This sweet boy is house trained on a consistent routine and does well in his crate when his people are away. He’s currently working on polishing up his leash walking and general manners, and because he’s eager to please, he’s expected to continue learning quickly with positive guidance. Presley already knows “sit” and loves training when treats or praise are involved. He rides nicely in the car and would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a dog that is both playful and affectionate. Overall, Presley is simply a great dog—friendly, loving, and fun to be around. With his sweet personality, playful spirit, and love for cuddles, he’s sure to bring a lot of joy to the lucky family who welcomes him home.
