This young St Bernard mix pup came to DASH with her 2 siblings from being on the euthanasia list at a rural shelter. She is a typical puppy, very playful, affectionate and loves playing with toys and her siblings. She is in the DASH Prison Training Program and doing very well on learning her basic commands. She is house broken and crate trained. Her new family will need to continue to her training as she is still pretty young. Being a large breed mix (we don't know what the actual mix is), she is going to need a fairly active family as well. An apartment may not be the best fit for her. She does well with other dogs of all sizes, but has not been cat tested. She has not been introduced to children but she has already proven to love everyone she meets! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Welcome Champ to DASH! This big beautiful gentle giant came to DASH severely underweight and needing a lot of TLC. He went into our DASH prison program where he has gained weight and has become a favorite there. He is very treat motivated and will sometimes wait for a bigger reward before he executes his commands. He is working on all of his basic commands and is doing really well as long as treats are involved. He gets along great with all dogs, but he really likes playing with the smaller dogs. He is housebroken in the prison setting and walks well on a leash. He is not crate trained, just due to not needing a crate in the prison setting. This big boy is described by his handler as a big uncoordinated loveable goofball who just loves attention of all kinds. He has not been kid or cat tested. Due to his large size, really small kids may not be a good fit and apartments would also not be best for this guy. Story
JB is a 7 year old sweetheart who has a big heart. He enjoys playing with his toys but also having some lazy moments in him too, especially in his old age. Unfortunately, we have to find him a new home. He was my dad’s dog and we took him in a few months ago due to my dad not being able to keep him. The problem is, our small children tend to overwhelm him and worry he is going to one day snap at them. He has never bit them but you can tell me gets overwhelmed an upset. I think JB would be good in a home that has no small children and has area to sit outside and run around. He deserves to have the rest of his life to be free and not frightened all the time, especially with my children. He is a wonderful companion and has been for all his life. He is a sweetheart and has always been the sweetest dog you could possibly have, but our home is just got a good fit for him and we just want him to be happy and in a home where he belongs.
