CAN BE ADOPTED SEPARATELY: FREE Bristow, VA (less than 1 hour from Alexandria, VA)- 2 SAINTS need new home asap URGENT URGENT - DOGS ARE GOING TO THE SHELTER IN A FEW WEEKS IF NO ONE STEPS UP. You must fill out an adoption application and agree to a contract to get the vetted asap, including appointments for spaying/neutering. Email us at dawnleemcmahon@gmail.com for us to send you an adoption application. Bristow, VA, Prince William County, Virginia FAMILY CAN NO LONGER CARE FOR THE PAIR LIKE THEY SHOULD DUE TO PERSONAL REASONS THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DOGS. SAINTS CAN BE ADOPTED OUT SEPARATELY!!!! Pls consider them. FROM FAMILY: Ellie (5.5-year-old Saint Bernard) Ellie is an affectionate, people-loving dog who truly believes she’s a lap dog. She has been raised in a busy household with eight children, including a medically fragile child, and has done wonderfully with kids of all ages. She’s playful, curious, and energetic, with a sweet, snuggly, almost toddler-like personality. Ellie is food-motivated, enjoys car rides (especially pup cups), and is crate trained at night. She can be a bit mischievous, particularly with counter surfing. She does well with cats, showing only playful curiosity and no aggression. Ellie has always lived in a home where someone is present and would do best in a home where she can receive lots of attention and companionship, as she may struggle being left alone for long periods. Byrnie (5.5 yr old Extra-large Saint Bernard) Byrnie is a loyal and protective dog who forms strong bonds with his family. He moves slowly, unlike Ellie. Like Ellie, he has been raised in a home with eight children, including a medically fragile child, and has done well in that environment. However, he can be wary of strangers entering the home, especially individuals who are smaller in stature, such as children’s friends. Byrnie would do best in a home without small children or other pets, as he prefers to have all the attention and can become possessive, particularly around food (he needs to be fed separately). He is not a fan of car rides or vet visits. Byrnie has also always lived in a home where someone is around and would thrive in a home where he can receive consistent attention, love, and companionship, as he is unlikely to do well being left alone for long periods. The two can be placed together IF there are no other pets in the home and as long as the family understands that they would need to be fed separately in order to avoid any type of disagreement over the food. Ellie DOB: August 19, 2020 Byrnie DOB: October 21, 2020 Byrnie is neutered but NOT up-to-date on shots. Ellie is not spayed and is up-to-date on shots.

Story
Apollo and Thor are bonded brothers. They are St. Bernard hybrids. Not sure what the other part is. They need to stay together. Due to lack of socializing while they were young, they are a little aggressive until you get to know them. Once they know you, they are the sweetest dogs that you could ever have. They are lap dogs practically. Very affectionate and loving. It is a little intimidating until they know you, but it only takes like 10 minutes for them to love you. I really want them to go to a good home for their last few years, because they are around 10 or 11, but if I send them to the SPCA, I am afraid they will euthanize them. I don't want that for them. They are too sweet to die that way. If anyone is willing to give them a chance, i promise you wont be sorry. If you are willing to let them get to know you then please give me a call.

Story
Duke is a lover boy who values snuggles, tug of war, aggressive belly rubs and lives his life for a fun ride in the car. He is a bone loving loyalist who needs someone who can give him a bigger space to stretch & kisses! Duke is 8. He would thrive in a fenced in yard hanging out with his humans! No rehoming fee necessary - I just want him to be loved and cared for. Dukes behavior took a turn when our other dog passed back in October. Not aggressive toward us, but overall he needs a fresh start.
