Story
Artoo is a 5 year old St. Bernard/Poodle mix (St. Berdoodle). His birthday just passed a week before this post. He weighs about 90ish lbs, has a slender build and appears bigger than he is due to his furry coat. He didn’t inherit the non shedding gene from his poodle side so he does shed a fair amount. He is also currently in tact. He’s not the most active dog and doesn’t play much with toys but he’ll do a few speed laps around the yard every now and again. He does not like hot weather… his trips outside during summer are mostly just to take care of business. When it gets cold, however, he loves being outside. He absolutely loves people and he’s also friendly with dogs and other animals. He has a big bark to scare off weary folks but that’s just him letting you know he wants to be petted. Artoo will love anything that loves him. We’re looking for a home that is willing to give Artoo a loving, caring space that we are no longer able to offer.

Story
Brandon is a 5 1/2 year old St, Bernard mix. He is a gentle giant. He is a little standoffish when meeting a new person(s). He is very affectionate once he knows you. He loves rubs and scratches. Brandon loves going for walks and checking out the many play yards here at the ranch. He is very mellow. He would thrive in any size family. He follows commands and is eager to please. He loves his treats and is very gentle when taking them. He doesn't like cats. He is one of the sweetest loving dogs. Brandon is eagerly waiting for his forever home. ##1533014##

Story
Dozer is a 1 year old mix who loves to play and cuddle. He enjoys being outside and would benefit from a physical fenced in yard. He does well with other dogs, but has not been around cats or other animals yet. He is not yet neutered due to his age. He has snapped at our toddler as a warning if he gets too close to Dozer's face but has not bitten or broken skin on anyone. He would benefit from further obedience training but does fairly well on a leash. I do think that it would be best for him to be in a home where he can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Located in Hollywood, MD.

Story
To learn more about Mortimer, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Mortimer will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Certified good boy alert — meet Mortimer! This young Anatolian Shepherd mix is a lovable, goofy “lap dog” in a big, fluffy body. Mortimer is the total package: affectionate, friendly, and full of charm. Mortimer has done great with other dogs, both in playgroup and in a home setting. He’s a wonderful mix of playful and respectful—happy to engage, but also able to read the room and give space when needed. He’d likely enjoy a canine companion, especially one who can help boost his confidence as he settles into new environments. With people, Mortimer is an absolute love. He leans in for pets, soaks up attention, and will happily climb into your lap (or at least try to!) for extra snuggles. He already knows “sit,” takes treats gently, and has a great foundation of house manners. He also seems to be well on his way with potty training—he’s been quick to do his business outside and will even let you know when he needs to go (he has adorably tried to lead his person to the door!). Mortimer can be a little nervous at first, especially in new situations, but he warms up quickly and truly blossoms once he feels comfortable—especially with a dog friend to show him the ropes. Underneath that initial shyness is a happy, affectionate, and playful pup who just wants to love and be loved. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, dog-friendly lap dog and cuddle bug with a goofy streak, Mortimer might just be your perfect match!
