Story
From Foster: Hi! I'm Awesome Blossom! I love people, dogs, cats, and chickens. I really love to be in your lap and snuggled next to you and I will rearrange myself when I need more surface area touching you.
I sleep in a crate all night. Once asleep, I don't whine but I do snore.
I don't have any accidents in the crate nor in the house. I know "outside" and "sit."
The house is open feed and I gladly share the water and food bowls with the other dogs in the house and I graze as needed.
I like toys but I really love playing with the other dogs. I am very athletic as I can onto the foster parents' bed that is 43" high. I will seek your lap out so I can nap.
If you need a snuggle buddy, I'm your girl!!
Blossom was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.
She is a survivor! Blossom survived Parvo virus and has made a full recovery.

If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded.
Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free Pet insurance. We are not affiliated with Pet First pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets.
The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
A new study has concluded that (in layman's terms), breed assumption is NOT indicative of behavior in mixed breed dogs. Therefore, if a dog looks presumably to be a German Shepherd breed, one cannot assume the dog will have a high prey drive. From the study: "Although many physical traits were associated with breeds, behavior was much more variable among individual dogs. In general, physical trait heritability was a greater predictor of breed but was not necessarily a predictor of breed ancestry in mutts. Among behavioral traits, biddability—how well dogs respond to human direction—was the most heritable by breed but varied significantly among individual dogs.
