Story
Meet Lanny — the brave boy with a soft heart and a story that shows just how much love can change a life. 💛Lanny is a one-year-old Terrier mix who was found lying in the grass, skinny, hungry, and terrified of humans. Gaining his trust took time, patience, and plenty of treats. Even getting him to safety required gentle coaxing, as fear often sent him running.Slowly but surely, Lanny decided that maybe not all humans are bad… and that’s when everything changed.Today, Lanny is thriving in his foster home in the New England area, where he’s learning, growing, and gaining confidence every single day. He has blossomed into a playful, energetic, and sweet pup who loves to run and has done well playing with other dogs who can tolerate his vigorous play style. His goofy personality shines more and more with each passing day.Loud noises used to frighten him, and sudden movements made him cower, but he’s learned that the world he’s in now is a safe one. While he may still startle at a loud noise, he recovers almost immediately and keeps moving forward.Lanny will do best with someone who can offer stability, structure, and continued training. He’s already learned how to trust, and he’s eager to keep learning with a patient, loving person by his side.Because of his past, Lanny prefers to eat separately from other dogs, but once mealtime is over, he’s all wiggles and happiness again.Lanny has come such a long way, and he’s ready for a home that will appreciate his gentle soul, celebrate his courage, and show him what it feels like to be truly loved.Name: LannyBreed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 46.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Good with Dogs: Good with Cats: Adoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:   New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Lucinda (Lucy)!Lucy’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her resilience and loving heart shine through. She wandered up to a kind stranger, frightened and injured, with wounds on her face and leg. Thanks to medical care and the patience of her foster family, Lucy has healed beautifully—both inside and out—and is now ready to find a forever home of her own.Lucy is a gentle soul with a tender heart. She may start out a little shy, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into the ultimate “velcro dog.” Her favorite place to be is right by her person’s side—whether it’s snuggling on the couch, showering you with kisses, or just keeping you company throughout the day.Lucy does beautifully with other dogs but would also be perfectly content as the star of the show in a home where she’s the only pup. She’s crate trained (she’ll even go in on command!), housetrained, and walks nicely on leash—though she may pull a little when her excitement takes over. Lucy also rides like a pro in the car and loves every trip.Because of her past, Lucy can sometimes feel a little anxious, especially in busy outdoor settings with multiple dogs, and she may be vocal at first when kenneled. Mealtime is another big highlight of her day—she gets very enthusiastic about her food! Feeding her in her kennel works best and keeps her happy and comfortable.Lucy has a low energy level and is happiest simply being near her humans. Her ideal home would be one where she can spend lots of time with her family and feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin, Lucy is ready to fill your life with love and cuddles.Name: LucindaBreed: Pit Bull Terrier/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 40lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Treatment completed 11/25/25Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: UnknownGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    Tennessee  IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
Dash is a great dog but unfortunately we are moving and can’t take him with us. He is extremely friendly and energetic, loves to cuddle. He’s house trained and can be left alone all day without being in the cage. He’s very smart and loves to play fetch. He’s not big on personal space; he will sit right next to you at all times. He’s a great protector, but also extremely affectionate.
