Story
Meet Dusse – Your Loyal, Blue-Hued Best Friend Dusse is a beautiful, big-hearted bully breed with a soft blue coat and an even softer soul. Rescued from the kill list at Dallas Animal Services, he’s now searching for a loving forever home. This gentle giant is dog-friendly, curious and sweet around children, and truly thrives in a home with another dog. Dusse is leash-trained, crate-trained, and knows all his basic commands. He’s also highly food-motivated, making him easy and fun to train. While he does have some crate anxiety—likely from his shelter experience—he settles well when given space to relax and feel safe. He’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal, loving, and smart pup ready to start his next chapter.

Story
Hello,Thank you so much for reaching out about our beloved Hiro—what a joy it is to know someone else sees the light in this special boy.Hiro is still available for adoption, and while his adoption fee is $300, we’re inviting adopters to name their own adoption fee. He’s been waiting over 110 days for his second chance, and what matters most to us is finding the right home where he’ll be truly cherished.Hiro’s story is one that touches everyone here at the shelter. He was adopted from us as a tiny puppy and spent his whole life with a loving family until a heartbreaking allergy diagnosis forced them to return him. Their baby developed a severe allergy to Hiro, and despite exhausting every option, they had to make the painful decision to say goodbye. They were absolutely devastated—and we could feel just how deeply they loved him.Since coming back to us, it hasn’t taken long to understand why. Hiro is truly one of a kind. He’s a big favorite among our staff with his sunny spirit and sweet demeanor. He keeps his kennel spotless, walks in and out like a perfect gentleman, and never fails to brighten our days. He’s in wonderful health aside from ongoing skin allergies. His previous family found that Apoquel combined with monthly allergy shots kept him comfortable. While we’ve continued with his shots and weekly medicated baths, we don’t currently have the funds to provide Apoquel. With the right care—and a calm, loving home—Hiro would absolutely flourish again. And just a little fun fact: Hiro is completely peanut butter obsessed. Whether it’s a treat-stuffed toy or a smear on a spoon, if it tastes like peanut butter, he’s all in. His joy is contagious—seeing that tail wag over something so simple reminds us just how big his heart is.Hiro deserves more than a kennel—he deserves a home filled with love, comfort, and a few peanut-buttery indulgences now and then. If you feel like he might be the dog you’ve been waiting for, we’d love to talk more.Since we do not observe these animals in home settings, we cannot guarantee whether they are housebroken.Upon intake, we ensure the following:Spay/neuter proceduresMicrochippingAll vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (and treatment if necessary)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam, scheduled 7–10 days after adoptionPlease note, adopters must live within an hour of our facility and be at least 21 years old.Do you have any questions or would you like to schedule an appointment? 🐾✨

Story
Free to a great home. Boo is a American Staffordshire Terrier around 3 to 4 years old. We adopted her from the Waco Humane society a while back. She is spayed, and very sweet...but very enthusiastic and strong. Would not recommend with small children. Which we have a 4 year old and 9 year old and revolving kids that come and visit, when she gets excited she wants to play but she wants to rough house. She is also getting worse about getting along with other dogs she is very alpha and will hurt other dogs while playing, she needs to be an only dog. When we adopted her we brought our other dog with us, and everything went okay. As time has went on though she has gotten more and more rough. We now have to keep her completely separated from all other dogs now. She is a good girl but can not be around other animals.
