Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This boy was found dumped at a flea market. He is a sweetheart! He is very friendly and gets along with everyone. He has done well in playgroups and loves to play. He will need basic training, along with other puppy lessons. He has done well on days out from the shelter with strangers and other dogs. Story
Meet Max! Say hello to Max, a one-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix — and quite possibly the most irresistibly sweet guy you are ever going to meet! This handsome and charming boy is about 65 pounds of pure loyalty, quiet devotion and unconditional love just waiting to find his perfect forever home! A Little About Max: There is something truly special about a dog like Max. He is not the loudest in the room or the first to rush up and demand your attention. Instead Max is the kind of dog who quietly wins your heart completely — and before you even realize what happened you are absolutely and totally devoted to him forever. That is just the kind of magic this boy carries. What Makes Max So Wonderful: Quietly Loyal — Max is the kind of companion who will be right there at your feet through every moment of every day. Steady, devoted and completely dependable. The very best kind of best friend Reserved but Worth Every Second — Max may be a little tentative when meeting new people at first but give him just a little time and patience and this sweet boy will open up and love you with his whole entire heart unconditionally and completely ⚡ Quick to Trust — Once Max decides you are his person he is ALL in. His trust and loyalty once earned are truly something to treasure Loves Other Dogs — Max genuinely enjoys the company of other dogs making him a wonderful fit for a home with a canine companion already in the family House Trained — Max knows exactly how a household runs and fits right into home life like he has always been there Crate Trained — Max is comfortable and settled in his crate making routines and transitions easy and stress free Walks on a Leash — This good boy walks on a leash making daily walks and outdoor adventures a true pleasure ✨ Charming & Well Behaved — For a one year old puppy Max has manners that will genuinely impress you. He is sweet, calm and an absolute joy to be around A Little Staffordshire Terrier Magic: That Staffordshire Terrier mix in Max gives him just the right amount of spunk, intelligence and personality to keep things interesting and fun. He is smart, perceptive and picks up on everything around him — which is exactly what makes him such a remarkably wonderful companion. Max is not the dog who is going to knock you over demanding attention the moment you walk through the door. He is something far more valuable than that. He is the dog who will be quietly waiting for you, always happy to see you and forever grateful that you chose him. This sweet, charming and completely irresistible boy is ready for his forever home. All he needs is someone willing to give him just a little time to show them exactly how extraordinary he truly is. Come meet Max. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pru is a special little gal, in more ways than one. She is a happy, playful, friendly girl with energy and love in spades.  She is crate trained, but is still working on potty training due to some unique circumstances. You may notice that Pru doesn’t use her back legs.  A spinal injury that occurred prior to her coming into our rescue has caused this, and over time the use of her back legs will continue to decrease.Don’t let this fool you or stop you, because it sure doesn’t stop Pru!  She will run to her heart’s content, with or without her recently acquired wheels.  She is great with dogs of all sizes, seems to do well with cats and is fantastic with children. Pru rides well in the car and is doing well on the leash.  She definitely LOVES to soak up any and all attention and love she can. As previously stated, Pru is crate trained but not potty trained. She does have accidents in the house and we are working to see if this can be controlled by implementing a strict potty schedule.  Pru can be a little scared of new things but otherwise loves to cuddle and wants to be near you.  She even has a signature 'Happy Dance' she would love to show off to you! We do not know what happened in Pru's past life, but we will make sure that her future continues to be bright. Due to her medical condition and ongoing medical needs, we will waive the adoption fee to an approved adopter.  An ideal home for Pru would have minimal to no steps, but is not a requirement.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2026, 10:36 am

Story
We adopted Hank at an event back in October thinking he would be a perfect addition to our family. I had an 8 year old and a 4 year old - the 8 year old fell in love so it was tough to say no. My wife and I had a small dog earlier in life before having kids - and Hank was the complete opposite. We adopted him at 4 years old, he was really well trained - and sleeps more than half the day. But with our schedules and especially our house setup it just isn’t working for us. He’s as big as our younger son, and so our son has not adapted well. The dog wants to play and cuddle, and when he’s the size of the child it’s intimidating- even though we know he’s just trying to be sweet. He’s wonderful with going to the bathroom - he sits by our backyard door when he wants to go out. He sleeps the whole night on a bed in our room. So I think for a family with the time and love to really spend with him, Hank will be a perfect companion.

Samuels #0087 is an 11-month-old male Staffie mix.He is a loving, affectionate dog who is doing great in his foster home. Samuels enjoys being around people and has a playful, energetic personality. He has been fostered with other dogs and enjoys playing, especially with dogs who can match his enthusiastic play style. He could also do well as the only pet in the home.Samuels is house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. He is still learning his basic commands and will benefit from continued training, structure, and consistency. He is an active young dog who needs daily exercise and mental stimulation. He enjoys getting out, exploring, and being included in everyday life. He is also working on building confidence when left alone and is making progress.Due to his energy level, he would do best in a home without small children. If you are interested in adopting Samuels, please apply at www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-formIf you have applied or been approved within the past 6 months, your application is already on file.Questions dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org
