Story
Our sweet Aspen was found in North Port roaming the streets but was thankfully saved by the Sarasota County Animal Services team. He his hair was so overgrown and matted, that he had to be shaved down entirely! But we're glad we did because he is feeling a lot better now! We think Aspen is about 2 1/2 years old. Unfortunately, when he was shaved down, we discovered a 5" thorn of some sort that was coming out both sides of one of his legs. The groomers also found several shorter thorns embedded in his body as well as scratches and even a small wound. This poor guy was clearly on his own for a while, but we're going to change all of that, and find him an amazing home to love and spoil him for the rest of his life! He can be a little bit nervous at first and doesn't really like a lot of sudden movements (but who can blame him, given his previous history), so we would not recommend that he go to a home with children under 12. He has been with other dogs and is indifferent, so he could be an only dog or go to a home with dogs currently. He will sit, especially when offered a treat. :) He appears to be housetrained as well. Aspen is now up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered, and is heartworm negative. He is fostered in Sarasota and his adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in learning more about him, please apply to adopt at https://www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt. If you have applied with us before, please just send an email inquiry to Info@Love4PawsFL.org.

Story
🎄 Bennet – 5-Year-Old Male Red Goldendoodle (~50 lbs) Bennet was also surrendered to us by a breeder just two weeks ago after living his whole life in outdoor kennels. Now he’s discovering the joys of indoor living — soft blankets, warm spaces, and gentle human hands. His sweet personality grows brighter every day, and he feels most secure with another confident dog to guide him. Bennet thrives in calm environments with predictable routines and a safe spot to decompress. He LOVES toys and is the sweetest, most submissive boy. His fur is tightly curled and very poodle like, his body is as well. Home Requirements: • Adult-only home • Securely fenced yard • Must have another friendly dog in the home Medical & Adoption Info: Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Fostered in the Tampa Bay Area. Adoption fee: $400 👉 Apply: www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt

Story
This is Clara, our gorgeous.....Doodle? We know she must have Standard Poodle in her, but although some thought she might be a Goldendoodle, we are thinking she may be a Schnoodle! We are guessing that she is about 3.5 - 4 YO. Whatever she is, she's the total package! Poor Clara did not come from a great place. Apparently she "showed up" at someone's house and just never left. While we are happy that the family fed and housed her, she did not get groomed at all and came in very matted and basically, a hot mess! She had to be completely shaved down and although she doesn't necessarily look like a Doodle should, she is so much happier and feeling so much better! Clara is fostered with two other dogs and kids. She is housetrained and isn't even crated overnight or when the family is not home, making her the perfect house guest! She absolutely loves having the 2 and 4-legged family members. She loves her people A LOT so she will need to go to a home with at least one other dog, and preferably, where her people would be home a lot to always love on her! She previously lived with 1 other big dog and two Chihuahua mixes. Clara is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative, which means she is ready to find her new home! She is fostered in Sarasota and her adoption fee is $400. If you are thinking about adding sweet Clara to your family, please complete an adoption application at https://www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt. If you have applied with Love4Paws previously, please send an email to Info@Love4PawsFL.org. No need to re-apply.

Story
Hello! My name is Bernadette. I'm an adorable little puppy hoping for a home for the holidays! I am a sweet, beautiful poodle estimated at around 4 months old as of mid-December. My adoption fee is more than the other puppies and dogs at my rescue, but I'm told that I'm a more 'desirable' puppy than my other friends who are not as fortunate and will be at the rescue much longer than me, waiting for their forever home. My adopter will know that their fee will be helping support the other 200 or so animals at the rescue and not lining a breeder's pockets. My $1500 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, deworming, initial grooming, microchip, and spay at one of my rescue's vets (Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, Naples or Orlando) when I'm closer to 6 months of age. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt as little ones like me get adopted quickly. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21

Story
Meet Gandalf the Grey 🧙‍♂️ our newest gentle wizard of the rescue! This handsome standard poodle (1–3 years) is as sweet as they come. He walks great on a leash, seems to know basic commands, and seems to stay perfectly calm I'm new experiences (horses, other dogs, older kids…etc). Just no infants as their crying makes him nervous (more evaluation needed on this aspect). Gandalf is looking for an adopter who enjoys peaceful walks, soft cuddles, and a loyal companion by their side. If you’ve been waiting for a calm, kind-hearted dog to join your family, this could be your sign. Apply using the link below!
